An entire class? A class which I call fan-boys? While I thank you for the credit, I don't believe that it is deserved. But don't let that stand in the way of your dramatics.
As for the fan-boys, they'll survive me poking fun at them just fine, so there's no need to start a charitible foundation to support their crushed egos just yet.
And as far as "calling me on" anything, it always strikes me as funny to see just how dead sarcasm is these days, unless messages are overflowing with winking emoticons.
So here you go then:;^) Are you happy now? At least you won't have to worry about wasting any of your "precious" karma.
This is just a website, and a poorly run one at that. Stop taking it so seriously.
...seeing that all of the nintendo fan-boys minds are going to collapse when the revolution controller comes out and isn't the glory that they all imagined it to be.
One of them. Not the only one. Sony wants to have as many features as they can, especially since they are not going to be first out of the gate this time. Sure, the fanboys will stick around, but what about everyone else?
Either way, the golden rule here is to give more options.
I personally couldn't care less about backwards compatibility. (Honestly, I don't care much about the PS3 either.) But, Sony bothered to tell us about dual video out for crying out loud, and there's a much smaller audience there than there are people who might wanna play older games on their new system.
After all, people can't keep their old systems connected forever, as they're going to need to make extra room for the second HD screen, right?
We're lucky we'll be able to play those older games?! You've got that backwards, man. They're lucky if we buy their console, and having backwards compatibility is one of the ways they'll use to entice us to do so.
Now excuse me while I go "thank" Sony for selling me something I don't even need.
Um, ok. But besides a lame attempt at bragging,

what exactly is your point again?
I'm surprised that you scoff at the punk kids on Xbox Live. You sound just like one of them.
I prefer to watch movies as they were intended to be seen by the director. This goes for the sound as well as the aspect ratio of the picture.
If a film was meant to be 2.0 or mono, so be it. If the sound of those spear shards are supposed to eminate from the back of the room, then I wanna hear them.
(Unless of course, that director is a pinhead like George Lucas whose intentions magically change between releases.)
Offtopic, but who do you have to kill to get pay channels like HBO to start broadcasting in proper aspect ratios? They deliver 5.1 sound now, but they're still stuck on pan and scan visuals. Bastards.
All that they'd have to do is hide the level rankings from view. It can still be used to create balanced games, but if it's not known to the player, there goes any reason to whore for it.
For those who like to track their progress, there are already medals in Halo 2 to designate in-game accomplishments, and you can go back to bungie.net to check them out after you're done playing.
Xbox Live gives players a persistent persona across all games as well a voice communication across all games. Not to mention gameplay invites so you can be paged by friends to play a game with them if you're currently playing another title.
You say that all of this is available on the PC, but I don't see it branching and connecting all titles the way Xbox Live does (nevermind the fact that the PC != a gaming console).
It's a lot easier to have 16 separate HDTVs connected via the Internet by say... Xbox Live. Realistically, dual HDTVs is still a full console generation or two off.
And yet it's still not going to be released for at least another full year.
By then, we will have 400/. articles discussing the minutae of every cog and circuit of the thing, and all the latest nonsense about price points and market demographics. In the meantime...
How about you mind your own business and take your own flamebait elsewhere? I almost got through to this one.

Hey, thanks for putting words in my mouth. Didn't mean to offend you, coward.

Could someone please remind me why I keep visiting this stupid website...

I dunno, I always liked that minimalist art. :^)
That shit is state-of-the-art, and high resolution. Capcom was way ahead of the times!
It's called griefing. They ruin their own teams chances of winning by -1 suiciding themselves over and over again.

At least, not if my wife has anything to say about it.
Thanks for the non-article. Slow day, eh?

Ooh! Does this mean that they've discovered new shades of brown? ;^)
If you have the means tho, more power to you.

Spare me.
Then why even join the discussion? Don't you have any work to do? When you get home, play what you like and don't worry about it.
A pox on those who mod the parent up.
Still no excuse for choosing Yojimbo over Seven Samurai tho.
Plus, Microsoft already has the small downloadable game thing rolling with Xbox Live Arcade.
