Anyone who is willing to slash out a premium for a smartphone is getting an iPhone, or possibly a Samsung. I have a hard time believing Google is selling > 100k of these to actual customers who are not Google employees.
"Frankly, I'm at a point in my life where I barely use ~40% of the capability of the software I've got right now."
That is true about most software. For most people, the OS and hardware from 10 years ago was fine. It just needed security updates. But the computer industry wants you to keep buying. Now they are pushing "as a service" model to get you to pay every month - even if there are no useful changes.
From your link: pay STARTING AT $15/hr. Other companies pay more for delivery drivers. That is the difference. And Dell techs make a range of salaries and not every one drives 600 miles a week. You see the difference?
The reason people find you annoying is because you state things as facts that don't make any sense. Your claim is that all delivery drivers in Silicon Valley make $15/hour. No more, no less. And all Dell techs make less than that and they drive 600 miles every week. You don't know what you are talking about.
I thought they were going to be delivering everything by drone and/or autonomous vehicles. I'm sure people will jump on this. Only $250 to protect Amazon from refunding people from stolen packages? Sign me up!
Um, yeah total BS. Companies don't "pay unemployment" like that. Why would anyone leave a company for "at least" 50% of the pay they were making? Why do people make up stories? So they feel important?
The "researcher" is Felix Krause, who works for Google. His previous revelation was that apps could create input dialogs that look like password entry screens. He neglected to mention that Android phones have the same "flaws".
I don't get it. The bottom 10% were laid off. How did they rise into the middle ranks? Why would the top performers leave? I thought you left because you were too good at your job and they fired you for being too efficient?
If you have privacy concerns, why are you carrying around a mobile tracking device which uploads your location and activities to Apple and anyone else? You are right, I am shocked.
Really? I had a webcam that did it 10 years ago, and so did my old Windows Phone. Maybe the reason they weren't more widespread is due to the fact no one wanted it. I don't see anyone asking for it, but maybe I missed it.
Patagonia makes some of my favorite clothing. #MPGA
Um, Amazons stock price "jumped" 11% because they announced a $0.52EPS vs $0.03 estimates. They are making huge profits.

I'm still looking for a $50,000 a year job in IT in Silicon Valley though. Any ideas?
...they vanished in a puff of logic.
You might be a narcissist. We get it, you are sensitive to stuff. Life isn't perfect.
Exactly. It is more of an indictment against the "AI". It isn't AI at all, it is just a parlor trick, like Eliza.

Doesn't apply because it is less than 33% of the workforce at each site. Those HR people know all the tricks!
I don't get it. The bottom 10% were laid off. How did they rise into the middle ranks? Why would the top performers leave? I thought you left because you were too good at your job and they fired you for being too efficient?
So I should pack my bag and get ready?
This happened to me. Anyone have a $50,000 a year job in IT in Beijing?
What they meant is that we were all fat.
But surely Musk is going to get us all to Mars and build a colony there? He promised.
So you are saying I am a bottom performer?
It is almost as if the executives are in it to make money and cash out or something and they aren't interested in what history books say about them.
I get a Christmas bonus too.

I am one of those affected. Anyone have a $50,000 per year job for me in Silicon Valley in IT?
