    It's not about nationality, but foreign governments spreading propaganda aimed at subverting democracy, targetting communities which lap it up and spread it forward. This should be troubling to everyone.

    Why is this such an issue now, though? Where were all these shrill voices proclaiming this guy's innocence when others were in front of these courts? It seems rather convenient to decry the system when "your guy" is being hammered by it.

    Maybe because he's dangerous and not doing anything with any competence? It's not a question of even liking his position or not - he can't keep his position straight over the course of hours, let alone a presidency.

    The glee is in seeing a dangerous idiot who campaigned to be not corrupt being nailed to the wall by the corruption they encourage.

    Judging by the memos, it seems the republicans are hell-bent on misrepresenting what happened. The judges involved are all right-leaning and appointed by republicans. The "smoking gun" timeline they purport is factually incorrect, which doesn't help this seemingly-desperate attempt at misdirection seem legitimate.

    Of couse it's impossible for someone to earnestly want to improve something - they must be "virtue signalling". Also, "antifa" is a movement and not a group. And a protest against racism is only against those in the right who are racist. If you feel they were attacking you, you might just be a racist.

    On average, yes the US is more spread out than Europe. It does, however, have densely populated cities which still lack functional public transport. You're going to need a better excuse, as that one holds no water. I'm sure there are reasons why it wouldn't work in the US, but that's not one of them.

    That excuse doesn't really hold water - there are public transport methods which can link sparsely-populated areas with each other -they're used a lot in Germany. The real problem lies elsewhere.

Are you also suggesting that the financial reports from public transport bodies are somehow invisible to the human eye? Your argument would be very convenient if it were at all based in reality!

    In Europe grids are far less common, yet public transport seems to work. It also works in sparsely-populated suburbs. Weird, huh? :)

    Indirect benefits are still benefits. Roads benefit you directly and indirectly, as does public transport. For each person on public transport is one less car on the road in front of your house. The world does not revolve around you, and policies bent on helping the selfish are policies of madness.
