VAT? What is this VAT you speak of? Here is USA you put things in VATs, not give them to government. You Europeans have strange ways. I would not want to put a volunteer in a VAT and give him to the government. It would seem that you would run out of volunteers pretty quickly. Only thing I give to the government is taxes. We keep those low in my state by rejecting them then voteing out fools who want more of my money. Hail great state of Alabama where Gov Riley will lose next election and we don't put friendly people in VATs.
This is why I will never join a homeowners association. My land is mine. I didn't buy it as an investment, I bought it to live in. It's my home. If I have to join to buy the home, then I won't buy that home.
All of our plants were built over 20 years ago. They have improved the process since then to really reduce the half life. If I rember right, the newest tech has the time between use an no loger dangerous below 150 years.
I would. The History Channel did a real nice piece on the history of Yucca Mountain. In that piece they went over the transportation and storage methods. Storage is done inside the plant. If you wanted to steal it you would pretty much have to take over the plant. The shipping Containers Were tested in just about every way you can come up with. They actually ramed it with a train going at a pretty good clip.
I thought the bedrock theory of the American governmental system was that individuals granted rights to society. That a man by himself has all rights. When more people are taken into account people give some individual rights to a government to provide protection of self and property. Thus a government only has the authority granted it by the people it governs. If the government grants the people their rights then the American Revolution would be unjustified, as would all other movments by the governed to change their government. Of course this depends on the definition of a right. As a general rule a right cannot imply an obligation on someboady else. I have a right to speak, that does not require anybody to listen. I have a right to seek medical care. Nobody has an obligation to provide it to me. Otherwise what happens when the local doc hasen't slept in a couple days?
Every one is looked at as a little commodity and a little individual. The balace of how much eaither way is determined by your skill set and how you set yourself apart from others in the workplace. If you do something that anybody and their brother can do and you don't have some execptional level of skill, dedication, (add some other positive things), etc.. then you are a commodity. If your the only guy who can do it, or you are extremely impressive as an employee then you are an individual. The more individual you are the more leverage you have to negotiate for what you want. You have a "workers right" to whatever you can convince them you give you as compensation for your work. If you don't like what your getting, what are you doing to improve your self? Or are you just sitting there watching the clock and whinning about how they should value you more?
I'd like to point out that the internet your using right now came from DARPA doing the same thing in the 70's. If you don't want an internet that runs on protocols initially devised by the US military then you better unplug now.
I am not a Ghost developer. I have spent a significant amount of time playing with every damn imaging solution under the sun recently. Ghost currently will not pull an image from the same physical disk that you are putting the image on to. Nobody else that I know of will do that currently. I would suggest you use ghost to create a DVD or CD set with your image on it, Or you could grab a real cheap bottom size HD to store your image on. ***Begin shamless plug for place of employment*** Or better yet if you happen to have a Naval ship in your backyard you could buy a ruggedized disaster recovery server to store your images.
There is a difference between the cheap and expensive disks. I had to throw away 50 DVD's because I bought the cheap stuff and found there was a 70% failure rate in certain low-power consumption laptop DVD burners (failure rate determined through personal expierence). I went out and bought the expensive stuff and have never had a problem since.
Nice sig, you don't happen to live in Huntsville al do ya? thats the only place I've been where it's reasonable to get that answer.

There is no need to encrypt your video cable. Just buy a good quality cable that is shielded. That will bring the emissions from that source to levels that are to low to intercept. Just using a normal LCD panel will prevent you type of ease dropping your worried about.
What many people seem to be forgetting is that hams aren't the only ones affected. The US Military uses the HF frequencies extesively. If the problems are as bad as the hams fear, DOD will go to bat against this. The military can not afford to lose commo because somebody is sharing his p0rn collection.
Physical strength is very important to fighter pilots. Under continous high g force manuevers it becomes very taxing to keep looking around the cockpit. To get off topic one of the major problems with the women in all branches of the US military is double standards. The same people who scream about equality scream even louder when it is suggested that women should be held to the same standard as men. This is why most women are not respected in the military. They are babied along with lower standards, given prefential treatment, and then bitch and moan about being discrimnated against. Nothing will lower your respect for someone more than hearing them complain about having 3 other people in their tent while all the men are living 8 to a tent.
It should be mentioned that although manufacturing jobs have been dropping in this country for the last 40 years the actual manfacture of goods has been increasing every year. I believe this is generally called efficiency improvment.
I don't believe anybody has a problem with that social contract. The disagreement is about how far people should go in giving others power over them. giving up the power to hunt others down who you believe have wronged you is not objected to by many people. However, in the US, the right to defend oneself while in the proccess of being wronged is a closly held belief. The questions about this database are in a grey area in between those two types of extremes. To restate, it's not the kind of social contract but the extent of the social contract that is under discussion.
aside: I know my grammer and spelling are bad. The purpose of all communication is to pass on ideas. If you have understood my idea then my purpose was accomplished rendering the grammer and spelling minimally important.
It's not just you older people. The new arcade games that cost a doller have great graphics and no gameplay. galaga and pacman are some of the best games ever made. I wish I could find a galaga machine around where I live.
I have found Burn In Test to do a pretty good job of testing new components for hardware failure. It doesn't have a lot of diagnostics, but if your testing new hardware then all the need to know is a problem exists. After that your just an RMA away from a working component.
If you read the article it mentions that most of the benchmarks have the AMD 3400+ beating the P4. There are a bunch of additional tests that are not quite the same as benchmarks. The difference is mentioned in the conclusions at the end of the article.
Yes, you can cut back anything to a point, sacrificing extra items that would be nice to have and adding extra time to the project. But there is a point where you can not make any meaningful progress.

Trespassers will be shot. Survivors will be shot again.

I've had TechTV on comcast for the last couple years

I suggest giving all criminals a fuss. I personally find a 40 caliber to be a very effective negotiation tool.

This anachronism is crictical to military communications. The military uses the same wavelengths. The hams problem will be the militarys problem.

This works great for me.
