    You must have really screwed it up then, Slack boots to a command line by default so the x config would have made no difference to you getting to a command line.

    If it was something you broke, don't come whining about something being wrong with the distro you chose.

    It's all in the rote objection quote.

    "Once again by requiring this, the court seeks to circumvent the rote objection by SCO alleging that they did not get enough information."

    It's to stop SCO from whining that they haven't seen enough of the code to prove it's baseless allegations. I see this as less of a victory for SCO and more of a sign that judicial patience for these fishing trips is wearing thin.

    Mozilla, Firefox and Thunderbird are all separate applications. Mozilla is the full suite that the other 2 are based on. Firefox is the web browser only, Thunderbird is the Email/News/RSS bit only.

    I'm an accountant for an insurance firm and I admin my own machine AND the dead rat mail/dns/webserver as well.

    That's because all our "technical" people only know how to admin Microsloth products. If a couple of reboots doesn't fix it they re-install from scratch.

    You misunderstand a monopoly. Microsoft can charge more than the software is worth because there is a lack of competition to force the price down to at or near its cost.
