true for sure, i used my tv only for gaming and watching dvd's i called em and told em too, and they agreed that since no rabbit-ears (antenna) and no external cable were in use that i was a-ok
how many people in the US voted directly on the current foreign policy? how about the current military policy? domestic then? no, oh ok i see, It's just when the Europeans do something that doesn't fall in line that it's a problem?
my point was that even though i don't agree with him, it makes more sense to try to be present at the meetings where he has a right to be heard rather than standing in the street shouting at the wind.
i work tech support for an ISP and we get customers who call and rant about spam all the time, i had one yesterday rant for ten minutes about unsolicited email and how pathetic our junk mail filters were, he ranted without letting me talk and finally i was able to ask how much he gets "oh i get one almost every day" he replied, at which point i almost hung up, but spent the next five minutes explaining that in fact, he's doing better than 99.99% of internet users.
oh i don't argue that, i think you're right, if you're gonna download music/movies/games etc. don't use the "information wants to be free" excuse, just be honest and tell us you're too cheap to buy it, I am, if something's really good i'll buy it rather than download it, but if i do download something i'm not going to try to fool myself into thinking it's not just me being a cheap theiving bastard.
to quote you: (assuming you coun't breaking the law(at least in some countries, maybe not his) "something wrong")
dear god we're all screwed, there is not a one of us who has not done somethng that i'm sure is considered some heinous crime in some country, does that mean we should be tried for it? should minnesota farmers be tried in india bor using a stick to hit cows?
i like your first point, although i'd rather see huge 20 hour games sold in four episodes of 5 hours each, maybe for $15 a piece
Imagine a truly Episodic version of something along the lines of Halo3, episode 1 has the first 3 levels, each one taking 10-30 minutes depending on exploration, difficulty etc etc... plus you throw in multiplayer functionality with a basic map selection, episode two, has the second batch of campaign, picking up the obvious cliffhanger from episode 1, release them maybe 6-8 weeks apart and you're building a following that will grab each one as it releases, each episode could have more multiplayer maps and/or gametypes (along the lines of the multiplayer map pack for halo2) and of course, once you finish out releasing all the episodes you then release a collectors edition that has everything in it, the same way DVD releases run, cover all the angles and make those episodes affordable to the wider range of gamers, dev. costs would be lower for subsequent episodes, and you could probably get away with 5-6 maybe more episodes for a good title
one point i haven't seen noted is that if new games cost $25-30 bucks, then trade in value on them would be minimal, and used cost would probably not be a whole lot lower than new, if the difference between a used and new copy of the game is $5 wouldn't you just grab the new one? also, if games were at a lower price-> trade in value is lower -> it might be more worthwhile for gamers to hold on to that game for the few times they'll fire it up to play than to take a $3 trade value for it.
it wasn't laziness it was hardware compatability, and to be fair to Ms, once they realised how much people wanted backwards compatability they put a lot of time and money into making it happen, looks like they have a decent solution here, and i just hope that the backwards compatability emulators are worked on to a better schedule than downloadable content was back when live! launched.
Come to think of it, some politicians too have recently used the terrorists to their advantage
that's no recent thing, politics of fear has been running the world for a long long time, people are easier to direct when they're afraid.
offtopic i go
just my 2 cents but i'd rather see a million guilty people sit for life in jail than have one innocent person wrongfully executed, if i thought that there was a way to prove for damn sure then i'd be for the death penalty, but there isn't, so i'd have to come out against, as for abortion, that's an entirely different badger.

the guy's a jackass, but he's at least doing something relatively sensibly.

because sony have continued to use similar hardware architecture, Micosoft didn't, get over it.

yeah blu ray does seem like a better format, but licensing costs to use it will be high, and it'll be locked tight as standards go.
it didn't work for the dreamcast, arguably the most easily piratable games of any modern gaming system (PC excluded) but it didn't take.
good point, do you think this here stone tablet is serial numbered? or maybe my chisel will be identifiable. :)
nah, break out the daisywheel, just to be safe.
that's the kind of thing i'm looking forward to when i immigrate in august. should be fun for sure.
i know that's all i used it for, it let me catch up with old high school peeps.
Blue browser is about to die.
ah ok, i hadn't thought of the concept of emulated monitor for stripping video, thanks.
ok, now most security measures i can at least objectively see where they're coming from, but what is this supposed to gain for anyone?
touGH mOTIon (it's just made from those 2 phonetic sounds right?, or was the o meant to be from something else?)
