The only time the powers that be can keep up with the masses is when the tech has been standing still for to long and became ultra public. IRC has been here for years and ftp has been used along with direct transfers and per chat channel credit system for upload/download(virtually the same as say the Wildcat BBS with the credit system. They didn't get busted cuz there are no masses using the tech. Back in the day you had actual pirates selling disks that has big mixes of stuff, like when you could cram 200 apps in 2 CDroms. Downloading 1400mb or so over even a 56k baud modem was slow as hell. So some people got these big mix disks then copied them all they could. The US government has ground sensors at the border with Mexico and all this high tech stuff but the smugglers still get drugs/people through. That's with low tech solutions. Not the collective thinking power of every hobby coder in the planet. Look at DRM it takes weeks or days for some 15 year old to break a unknown (see DVD John) encryption scheme. So "let them eat cake", all they want.
All third world country's have LESS resources then the developed world not MORE. Unless some asshole army from next door invades Canada will have those resources when Italy is starving and NYC has rats and roaches as the only thing it can actually eat. Let's see them fuckers eat their cash.... Soon un-fuckedwith raw resource will be worth more then paper money, you wait and see...
That's NOT what that says if you stop to read. It says "as required by law" not "as requested by law enforcement". Big diff holmes. The second statement has a "we" so that covers when blizzard has to identify you internally. And "to bring legal action" says to forward for criminal actions taken in the realms or relating to one in the realms. You leave out this "Blizzard Entertainment adheres to the Safe Harbor Principles that were established by the U.S. Department of Commerce in consultation" They won't entrap you but if you use their property for criminal means (sell drugs on WOW,try cybermolest kids on WOW whatever) The they can release info to the law. There is also this" all of our websites have been reviewed and certified by ESRB Privacy Online to meet established online information collection and use practices. As part of this privacy program, we are subject to frequent audits of our sites and other enforcement and accountability mechanisms administered independently by the ESRB" Sounds like they do a good job with our trusted info to me.
How does the war on drugs SERVE the people.Oh yea by putting us in jail. Unless you are like... man that guys butt hole just got served! Being in jail hardens people! It's like making them play survivor with a bunch of psychos...After you leave the island part of you thinks you are still there! Don't get me wrong... I love cops for helping if someone with a chainsaw shows up at my house but I am glad I can defend myself (in those cases they mostly mop up!). What's gonna happen though.. if they can't protect me from drug dealers... I'm soooooo sure I would just sprint down to the local crack dealer and start firing up if it was legal! Really people! Before prohibition Al Capone didn't even exist! The war on drugs CREATES drug WARLORDS. What else is gonna get some Bolivian dirt farmer one hundred thousand dollars for some white powder from a plant he can grow. Without the war on drugs he is demoted to guy with mule and a bunch of really addictive white powder!
You forget that in a normal situation it takes real time and effort to write a book. Why not build cabinets and then sell them. Your idea is really stupid.
Half a second to copy, years to make with a co-ordinated effort of many people. If you copy my book for free you have no respect for the work of others; Even though you have a connection to books filled with richly authored content you know very little. That's for sure. DRM is broken from the start. Locked systems like the Iphone are the way to go for making money, not a computer that's open to the user.
You speak as if they only connected things that make sense to the web. Alas tis not the case, for we have nuke plants, traffic controls, you name it... all directly connected!
Distributing content is not about rights, that's insane. Making real money off content is about ABILITY. Movie's make money because we can do 40 foot screens. 3D movies are a draw because there is no 3D at home. Before we couldn't burn CD's so the actual value of a disk was way higher. News can be redistributed easier than practically any other content. Why...because we know news by definition is to be shared. Get over yourself and stop making massive asses out of your-self's. The nature of people is to share (news, songs, movies) the business end is trying to get us to pay for something we are going to do anyway. You want to make cash... then offer us something we can't do!
The "new" recording standard is to overcome environmental sound. Quiet channels are a thing of the past, I guess it's not the best solution but... have you ever noticed movies that are mixed "proper", with the voices at a whisper and the sound effects loud? This is very annoying to watch, if you can't blast the sound to hear the voices. To deal with this they even build a function (in televisions) to even out the sound and boost the quiet parts up, or limit the upper volume level(AVL) etc(helps during annoying ads). This is not bad. In the end we need a more advanced format that keeps all 'voices' separated so our amps can remix channels on the spot. We get lame final mixes in our rapped up formats. The best possible system would store each 'voice' separately and allow for a advanced amp/decoder to mix to our preference (like cutting out the whole band except the guitar). This is the best way to have an audio file but alas... doesn't really exist for consumers.

What did they get into the space between G.W. Bush ears then? It sucked everything that mattered and crushed it in some strange space time continuum know as "his presidency". Researchers are still baffled....
Sir I think you are incorrect. Ignorance from the law does NOT get you off. If an officer makes even a minor clerical error or manages to forget to read you your rights you can get off or if there is lost evidence. Last time I tried that ignorance excuse the judge laughed at me and told me "I could try and go to trial" if I wanted but "Ignorance is no excuse and I should pay my fine". Or await trail for six months and they get to keep my vehicle till then. What a bunch of asses. Now I can say oops I cant even afford to read the law so how am
I supposed to know!:P
Actually dumb ass there would be a person telling them what all this shit is about, describing art... like described video in movie, that we already have, twat.
The human eye can perceive one singular photon. Some hunting fish can sense a very very weak electric current to find fish, some creatures migrate along poles that we cant really see or understand without complex devices. Maybe its possible to divine water!
Easy for a bunch of authors to question a pilot of history! I love the little puppys barking like they know! This guy gave us DOS! Come on that's cool! Basic worked great at what it was used for. Running stuff in DOS was an easy thing! All you had to do that was annoying was a bit of configuring for IRQ's and PRESTO! Redneck rampage was awesome! It was the only game that insulted my computer (for being too slow) when setting it up! And Microsoft gave the internet hotmail! and that rocks hard! Oh I miss the days of a Boot OS and by title configuration! IE: No GUI, Booting different Versions of DOS per each software title! FUN!
PS: I use a Mac!
After you buy the extra stuff its more like a 500$ system. And to play the system as it was intended you need the parts! Extra controller and chuk, two sets of motion plus and a Wii fit if ya like!
That's because you don't encrypt your torrents and don't click off all the little options on Utorrent; As a matter of fact I bet you use LIME WIRE! Actually you probably are a hired studio pundit, to spread some FUD on our download sandwich!
I can tell you they just don't understand the market. Selling 100,000 books at 2$ a book profit is great money to a smaller book seller. They don't realize it's possible to make money without shipping a physical copy and that's infinitely easier. Shipping books hurts and in the biz everyone has carried box after box of books. Selling books is hard work. If you can make a small profit on such a slick platform as the itunes store then e-books will take off; Until then it's up to people like me to convince the publisher I work with that all her book catalog won't be pirated to worthlessness the nanosecond she goes e-book.
Repeat after me " A Pirated download is not a lost sale!" (kinda like 5% of one)

Fans rent theaters stupid so they cover the cost of the rental.

Don't worry about what other think too much or you will try and control that.

Total information is a state in reality that only happens in your mind! Total Recall... now we are talking! Wait wheres the tri boob!
WTF is a Microsoft platinum ticket... shows NO hit results on searches!

Yea Right ...Lets be realistic... The norm is a Win XP/ Vista platform with 512-1 GB of RAM and a DX9 card built in the mobo!

What your saying makes no sense. You could have two of the same card in a game and then you are not in a legal card game.
