    instead of having one case for each browser that exists, we first have to check which version were using and then have one case for each browser that exists

    it's no longer about waiting for everybody to support the standard, now it's about waiting for everybody to drop support for the old standard, which takes much longer

    either way it's seems the consumer is being punished and Microsoft is getting free marketing

    why is it so difficult? If you have a home in an area not affected by earthquakes then surely you can't just leave a tripod set up and do an exposure every week or so

    Good product, but bad support just like commercial counterparts.

    There are so many tiny 3yr old+ bugs in there now. These are mostly minor things which are really annoying - focus locking problems, missing accelerator keys, things that are always pushed 2 releases after the current one. Things that make a program 'polished' instead of just 'works'

    It may take someone to spend 1-2 days to fix one, but nobody wants to do it. Not fun? But I thought we had at least SOME paid employees of AOL working here.

    You'd think someone in charge would want to clear out a few of these problems quickly, but maybe we don't have any project managers volunteering there.

    Are all big projects doomed to become things we love to hate?

    I think things generally no longer enter public domain. The term is always death + 1xx years, where the 1xx years is adjusted to equal now()+25yrs just before the term is up.

    cellphones break down so easily. Mine, the screen's going fuzzy after exactly 2yrs. Funny, my contract was 2yrs too...

    I've only ever dropped it once and I only use it enough to need a charge every 3-4days.

    Ppl always say XYZ sentences that are too short!

    But really, has any one of you considered staying inside your house for a month, let alone a year? I mean, apart from that stupid dotcomguy thingy.

    If a criminal won't change after X years of jail, why would then change after 2X years? It's not like they have counselling in there.

    What's the point of jails nowadays anyway? If you want to reform someone, it prolly won't happen. If you want to punish someone, why not just whip them like in Sg and get it over with? They don't have a major crime problem...

    How would YOU feel if you were suddenly held 'pretrial' for a few years...

    so, you go to your dealer, and you ask how to change your 14" rims to 16" ones. 16" may be rather common, but if they ask u for 10$ to show you, it's your choice to try to find someone to show you for free.

    It's called free choice. They're free to ask for $, you're free to go elsewhere (or whine)

    talking about ad-free, since they dun like ad-skipping, I wonder if we can bundle machines with ad-viewing robots.

    Every nite when we go to sleep we'd turn on the robot and it'd attentively watch all the ads we skipped that nite.

    Or maybe I'll just let my cat watch them.

    Yes, you're still trusting microsoft, but it's better to trust a single organisation than many.

    Yeh, you're right, but I don't trust MS, and now I can't get customised updates from my local cinema chain cuz they've gone 'passport'
