Excuse me, but if the article has a section on "Sexual Torture" it is obviously on topic to include Abu Graib, even if you choose to believe there wasn't rape there when there is at least a 50/50 chance there was.

It might help if you read the article. I'm not trying to be a jerk, but your statement leads me to believe you haven't even looked at the section of the article in question. If you had you would know that the section is titled "Rape and Sexual Torture." It's four sentences long, and is dealing with rape as employed as a means of sexual torture. It is about a specific application of sexual torture (i.e., rape).

Bottomline here is they should have included links to all of the exmples, instead of trying to suppress the links each of the various moderators found offensive to their particular political perspective.

I would agree to including Abu Graib as an example of using rape as a means of torture that is sexual in nature, if it can be shown that such actions occurred. However, as you state, it is only a 'chance' that rape occurred. It is not a fact. If it was a fact, this discussion would not even be needed.

You see you got hung up on the "rape" part exclusively and the article's title was "Rape and SEXUAL TORTURE".

The article's title is "Rape." There is a section in this article on "Rape and Sexual Torture." Since this is a section of the article on rape, I think the parent is correct in getting "hung up on the rape part."

The problem? Everyone had their own stories about Jesus and the rest of the boys (this was 200-300 years after Jesus' death, mind you), and it's arguable how much of the stories were written and how many were passed by oral tradition (read: mostly bulls**t). So, Constantine convenes the Nicene council; mostly of religious leaders (Rabbis, proto-priests, etc.) and tells them to put together the "true" stories into a canonized book.

The canon of the New Testament was not established at the Council of Nicea. In fact, the first known New Testament canon in its current form is not found until the Festal Epistle of St. Athanasius in 367 AD.

The purpose of the Council of Nicea was to outline the basic doctrines of the Christian faith.

It is ridiculous to claim that minor-party support is somehow leeched from the two major parties when there is a vast, vast pool of voters that prefer making no selection at all to picking between Republican and Democrat.

It provides the duopoly an additional villain to explain why they lost the election. It's easier to blame someone else for your own shortcomings.

The bookstore is good, but there is also a wealth of direction one can find from course syllabi or online lecture notes. If I wanted to study business, I would search out 'introduction to business' syllabi to get a quick summation of what's taught in the course and some book suggestions. Heck, I even use some of the assignments professors require as personal learning projects.
