Besides my natural "what the fuck do you need my fingerprints for", it seems it would have honestly been cheaper to segregate the areas instead of having to maintain a fingerprints system for _x_ years.
But then again, maybe it's cheaper to have those systems now. Even one of the local grocery store chains has a check cashing method where you just have to scan your fingerprint.
2) Fast food coffee is completely different to what people make at home. Do you want it fast, or do you want it to taste good? Either way I drown it in creamer.
I seem to also remember that women tend to be shorter than men not due to testosterone levels, but estrogen levels. Estrogen is apparently (don't quote me on this) what makes your bones 'fuse' and so women of course have their bones start to fuse and not grow taller anymore at a younger age. Whereas a male can keep getting taller well until you're about 23-25, due to much lower estrogen levels.
About the only organization that I've seen keep machines around for an epic amount of time is libraries. The scanner machines at the one I worked at were late 70s or mid 80s, I can't remember what they told me. The boxes themselves were about as big as an alienware case, all just for the barcode reading. I accidentally broke one on the job one day (something with the power plug) and the IT guy told me that they were lucky to be able to fix it.
They upgraded from Windows 95 to Win XP Pro in about 2004 or late 2003. The receipt printers are from the early 90s, and are only replaced if they are so dead that they can't be brought back (there's about 3-4 replacement printers in the back rooms, that just sit there).
Then again, it'd probably help if the library had more than 2$ per person living in the city in their budget.
You can always add the clause in later, or take it out later - as long as all the code under that release is yours or all contributors agree.
Example:
you release version 1.0 under GPL2 only.
people contribute to your project, now it's at say, 1.2
At this point, you could re-release 1.0 under the GPL2 + future, GPL3, MIT, whatever. You could do the same with 1.2 if you got all contributor's permission to do so. Technically, people could keep going with the original license, but a branch like that wouldn't last too long on a smaller project.
This is because you automatically copyright your code when you first write it. When you put the GPL on it, you're just putting a license on it for other people to use it - you're not transferring your copyright. You could make the Really Awesome Cool License, and it just says "You are free to use this code in any commercial or noncommercial program, as long as you send an email to my address and include me in your program credits", and that's a legit license.
New iPod Touches do in fact, get these 'apps' for free. Either it was a pain in the ass to get them working correctly on the iPod version, or.. I don't know.
Although if you've already paid for an iPod touch, 20$ is not that much for all those apps. And honestly, you were happy with the original featureset if you DID buy one.
I would imagine the massive power draw and training of the operators would be where all the cost comes from. Yeah, they probably paid back the actual original purchase a long time ago, but it's not 'free' for them to use it afterwards. Your car doesn't stop generating costs after you pay it off...
My brother had a short job at Wal Mart as one of the cart pushers. He had to stop because he was getting sick, literally, due to his asthma and the suprise cold weather. So he gave them notice.
Over a year later they called up the house and asked why he hadn't come in that day....
1) If they -did-, Bungie would be working on Halo 4 right now. Which they are not. 2) Bungie wouldn't even be able to -entertain- the idea and discuss working on other consoles. Honestly, I think they'll wait for the next generation to go multi-platform. 3) It's kinda hard to own 51% of a private company that has no shares! (Honestly, they had to do that - if Bungie went independent as a publically traded company again, they would have been a victim of a hostile takeover by one of the big publishers so fast that it would have made their heads spin)
Microsoft only has a "investing stake" in Bungie at the moment, which I take to guess is a contract we'll never read that states how many more titles Bungie can make that MS will automatically publish and/or says that any 360 exclusive title will be published by MS.
Know what's irritating? The embedded flash player that Gametrailers makes available for sites works perfectly fine on the Wii (except for age gated videos - I guess it doesn't agree with something in that). But if you try to go to their actual site and browse them, the site will block them out and say you need to upgrade flash.
In other words, their fancy javascript is checking for a higher version than they actually use.
If the state is so great, why are the majority of people leaving it coming to Nebraska? We've imported most of it's gangs aswell!

Most if not all cable modems have a standby button on it to literally "turn off the internet".
It's usually located on the top, if it's a Motorola.

Now if only we could have a Linux Paint.NET...
It would make it heavier and fly a bit lower, leaving you open to Dog in the Middle attacks.
Yes. Once they actually do make disc based media that can actually take a fall, we'll be using the FDTP (Flying Disc Transfer Protocol) method.
However, the packet drop in windy places would be too much.
That works both ways. If the corrupt unions weren't overpricing labor, companies would have no reason to outsource to China.
AC, meet OSHA.
OSHA, AC.
1) Americans, not USians. you AUSian.

why not collect all URLs first and then apply a banlist against them?
Interestingly, Omaha does this aswell:
http://www.dcassessor.org/
However, they do display parcel ownership. In fact, by name is one of the search options..
It doesn't, they lock your hours to the phone number you dial from now.
A car is a status symbol.
Everybody has a cellphone now, though.
(and honestly, I wouldn't pay more than 14k for a new car)
Good luck with that then. nVidia screwed Microsoft over on the Xbox, and MS has been making them feel it ever since.

So apparently you have trouble seeing taillights/headlamps?
No, Microsoft does not own 51% of Bungie, because
1) If they -did-, Bungie would be working on Halo 4 right now. Which they are not.
2) Bungie wouldn't even be able to -entertain- the idea and discuss working on other consoles. Honestly, I think they'll wait for the next generation to go multi-platform.

Hope to god he isn't playing Starfox Command...
