Even if you have to hold your nose, Vote NDP next time. At least the leader has half a brain more than no brain Trudeau. I'd normally vote Conservative (they use to be like Democrats in the US). But I can't do it now. Too many reasons to count why.
Yes, and Obama was elected in 2008. So why the fuck didn't they do it then. Also, why didn't they pass an affordable care health act then as well. Because the Democrats are incapable of working together, and/or are in the same pockets of business as the Republican are. There are a lot of things they could have done in that short time. But they fucked it up.
Also, you have a contract with your cell phone service provider. You expect your calls and information to go through their towers, not some rogue FBI tower. This is just like wiretapping by inserting themselves into the line.
School boards spend hundreds of thousands if not millions of dollars on 'Smart Boards'. Why? Someone told me it was so they can make learning more fun, make a game of it. WTF? I can't stop thinking that these things are freakin waste of money. Money that could be spent more usefully like in paying teachers better in the U.S. (they're overpaid in Canada). Or on better facilities. Or school lunches for underprivileged kids. etc. etc. etc.
Exactly... it all depends on the audience. Early on the audience was a bunch of uber geeks who enjoyed playing with low level code and devices. Now the Linux audience are people who have everyday jobs to do and want an operating system and bundle of programs to help them do that. They don't care about building tools, just using them. And it gives them an option from MS and Apple products. Server or Desktop.
English is a German language (Anglo Saxon from the Germanic tribes that went to England some time after the Romans). It has been infused with French because of the Norman invasion, and maybe the proximity. English:German - cold:kalte, dog (hound):hund, free as in beer:bier. etc. What's up:Was ist Ios?
Instead of spending this level of effort on each recruit, why not hire someone who is bright in North America and train them. Have you ever stopped to consider that employees will be once again loyal to the company if the company demonstrates that they are loyal to them? People have very little loyalty any more precisely because the MBAs turned employees into 'human resources' to satisfy shareholders in the late 80s.
So you are saying you only hire people from India because they have all the skills you want on their resume? And you say this will save you money? If not, where do you get these people with specific skills? Out of thin air?
Then they wouldn't be able to sell iCloud as much. Same reason they don't let you easily transfer files back and forth to your PC via USB: so they can sell you something else that does. Same reason Finder sucks shit so bad, so you need to buy a file manager that works. And Apple at the very least gets a cut of everything sold from their store. Not only are Apple products overpriced, they nickle and dime you to death on everything else. The OS on its own is alright. It's all the other shit etc. that I just talked about that keeps me from buying one. PCs work fine for me. As does my Linux laptop.
Even if all he did was buy other companies (which initially wasn't the case... he wrote a lot of code in the early years), he had to be shrewd enough more often than not, to find the ones that would benefit Microsoft and be both technically and commercially viable. Just buying other companies wouldn't have cut it. A lot of companies trying this have failed because the people running them weren't smart enough to make good picks. He had to be smart enough to pick the right companies more than the stinkers. Just by this record alone, his choices should be noted and paid attention to.
So had did text rather than email provide any real benefit? They are both text, except that email is tracable, ie records are kept if needed. And if you wanted information in short form, voice is much more information dense than short texts. Less chance for miscommunication.
I don't agree with respect to this first episode anyway. Maybe over time they'll all get there. My biggest beef though is with 'Scottie'. I've heard the Scottie here is James Doohan's son. Regardless, his 'Scottish accent' is just horrible. Doohan's wasn't exactly a real Scottish accent, but it was consistent and at least believable in the context of the show. But on this reboot, this Scottie's accent is the one thing that forced me to stop watching.
Yeah sure. I carried a GPMG before too. I call bullshit. There's no way you're carrying 10 boxes of ammo on your person. That's why they distributed it to carry.
In the US, you probably have a way higher chance of being kill at a mall or random public place by some other American freak who has decided to kill as many people as he or she can for some reason; and takes their assault rifle they purchased at a gun show or corner gun shop and 2000 rounds of ammunition (even though they couldn't possible carry that much) and goes off on innocent people. It's not like it hasn't happened dozens of times before. And it's interesting that I have yet to hear of some gun totin' NRA wingnut with his right to bear arms concealed pistol taking one of these guys down. The only time I heard it tried was in Las Vegas when a married couple went off at a Walmart. And that guy was killed (real life is different). The police that everyone lately seems to want to protect themselves from are the ones who do the job.
the canuck part should be a clue. and I don't mind if anyone publishes what our politicians say. if it is stupid, it makes it easier to call them on it. I'd vote conservative if this batch weren't anti-science school of bush secret police, save the children ideologues, who are cronies of big oil and therefore modelled the current economic policies on third world style resource based exportation; which is why our economy is about to tank as bad as Russia's since they have trashed our eastern industrial base and don't have that to mitigate against. the party they evolved from, the reform party led by Preston Manning (no relation to Chelsea), and which was originally considered more right than its child, was far more progressive in those regards. they promoted increased spending in fundamental r&d, and nothing to do with secret police. the best of the other two contenders, the NDP, ironically was considered really left wing (your Democrats are what our conservatives used to be). but they have since moderated while the centrist liberals have fought tooth and nail lately to be left of the NDP. so this conservative will be voting NDP. the belief is that if they win the current conservatives will be forced to get rid of their leader, Stephan Harper, and they will develop reasonable policies again. two elections ago I voted conservative, but last I voted NDP because I could see where they were going. and now oil is tanking and the final bit of my conservative misgivings have been confirmed. harper has to go.:) unless there is crazy vote splitting, he won't be leading the next government.

America holds foreign nationals guilty and/or accountable to American courts for crimes committed outside the United States all the time.

No but the guy proposing this circles Uranus... har har har

It can't be historic until they actually land... never mind take off.

English and French are official languages in Canada. Quebec only recognizes French. Quebec is a province, not a country. Not a nation.

The Quebec Language Police will maintain the purity of the French race in Quebec. Especially at salad bars.

Full disclosure: I found this at this web site.
We don't need any more shit in the car to distract us from what we are supposed to be doing, and that is driving.

Where is the proven terrorist act committed by North Korea?

Then why do you elect them?
