Try to play a fighting game with a keyboard. What a pain, it's a chore to do a simple hadouken! Try a platformer. A racing game. A shmup. Almost anything will be far more enjoyable with a good gamepad than with keyboard and mouse. And if the game is done right, RTSs and FPSs will play just fine with a gamepad too.
Macs don't have a Maximize button? If they don't let me use the full screen for what I want to use it for, I'm never going to go to Mac.
Actually it makes more sense for a window not go full-screen: the Mac interface has this emphasis on drag-and-drop. For example, select some text and drag it to the desktop. What happens? I'm not sure about Windows, but on a Mac, this creates a text clipping file.
Well, now having a Xbox 360 and Wii, and a lot of playing time on thePS3, I'd have to say the PS3 gets a worse rap than it deserves. Well, at least it doesn't deserve the ire it is shown.
The bad rap is not because of the hardware itself. It's about Sony's behaviour as a whole: rootkit-infected CDs, exploding laptop batteries, general arrogance, all that crap. Also, some fanboys^W hardcore gamers may be resentful regarding the Dreamcast (destroyed by the PS2's bullshit-filled hype) and Working Designs (ruined by SCEA's retarded anti-2D policies).
The PCs are a bit dull really. Would have been nice if they could run a different OS and have radically different hardware but I guess it's not 1985 anymore.
Well, there's not much different hardware to pick, but you can get a "beige box" and install a different OS. GNU/Linux, BSD, Haiku, Solaris, Sanos, HelenOS, Nemesis, MenuetOS, Syllable, DexOS, E/OS, Minix... just pick one!
If we can put a man on the moon, we can verify age on the Internet.
Congratulations, mr. Blumenthal. You are now a honorary member of the American Non Sequitur Society. Your membership card is on its way. Which, of course, brings the question: what's your favorite pizza topping?
He was unarmed. But he was quite big and strong. And he was so fuckin' high on PCP that EVEN A TASER DID NOT BRING HIM DOWN. What should a policeman do in such a situation -- try to reason with a violent junkie? Take off your damn rose-tinted peacenik glasses!
What have your eyes seen? The jury acquitted the policemen because they saw the whole tape, not the few bits they showed on TV. What did they see? A man so high that even tasers wouldn't put him down, resisting arrest, attacking the policemen.
Rodney King is no victim, he's just a junkie. Here's his life since then: arrested for spousal assault in '99; ordered to undergo a year of drug treatment in '01, after pleading guilty to indecent exposure under the influence of PCP; and AGAIN caught driving under the influence of PCP and resisting arrest in '03.
These are the facts. I'm not making up anything, just check Wikipedia.
Rodney King, caught speeding, probably high on PCP; resisted arrest, tried to attack a policeman, and had to be beaten into submission; and somehow people still mention this scumbag as an example of a victim of police brutality?!
But in the scene in The Matrix which TFA presumably refers to (gal kicking a guy across a room), Trinity has left the ground and doesn't begin her kick until she is suspended in mid-air. Therefore she should have been propelled backward as she kicked him.
Reality does not count there. That did not happen in the "real world", but in the Matrix, a computer-simulated reality. People aware of that can bend the rules of the simulation to perform otherwise impossible feats.
I get your point -- and disagree entirely.

Mod parent off-topic, this is not about Nintendo's portables... oh, wait.
And I still haven't managed to give away all those 6.06 CDs I got from ShipIt!
I read somewhere that Gone with the Wind started this concept.
That comparison is a bit unfair. The Neo Geo might have failed as a home console, but it was possibly the most successful arcade board ever!
BeOS, of course!
But is that still piracy, even if the company no longer exists?
Maybe they're not counting the time he spent frozen in the north pole.
Here's another. Total business stupidity. Remember when IBM was touting OS/2 as the best system ever, yet only sold PCs with Windows?

So... you do not challenge the statement that Rodney King was high, speeding, resisted arrest, and attacked the policemen?
;-)
Your honor, I rest my case.
