For your $100 at the store, you are buying the right to decide if you then accept their license agreement.
If you don't agree to the agreement, keep your $100 box and put it on the shelf, use it as a $100 doorstop... Or you can return to the store or vendor your $100 box/license that you never agreed to and get your money back.
Besides, you are buying a license to use something, you don't own it the bits on the disc, you only own the physical medium it came on... That medium cost $100, but the ability to use the bits on the medium require you to agree to the license agreement.,
Where is the water level? It should be way down because ICE displaces MORE space than WATER..... Wtf am I missing? How can melting ice cause the earths water level to go UP?
I enjoy all of the above, but in Windows, using SageTV. (sagetv.com)
I also enjoy things like a real time-line progress bar w/ commercial markers.
Stability with ATI HDTV Wonder, and AverMedia A180 HDTV Tuners...
WebUI, Adskip, DVD rip, Weather, Full UI mods/skins, client/server, awsome HDTV support, and kick-ass driver support for every tuner card out there (No PVR250 needed).
All for the cost of some $$$.. Well worth it to me.
If 19% of gamers are over 50 years old, that tells me they are already targeting the 50+ year old gamers. You got 19% of the market already at 50+! What you want, to make JUST games targeting older croud?
If anything, I think if 19% of gamers are 50 years or older, while the average overall age is something like 28 years old.. You may want to BACK DOWN the maturity of the games some and target the YOUNGER croud.
So it's basically fixed point math.

Formula 32 / 20 = Number of stars.
Wow. I don't see why this article is on slashdot, what am I missing?
I made over 250 gold "coins/pieces" in WoW... but I don't have any gold in real life, except in my teeth (fillings).... I wonder if I'll get rated Funny, or Troll...
You pay more for left handed equipment because manufacturing costs are dramatically higher when you don't make as many on an assembly line. Point blank.
Think of the word in the more literally sense. For something to mature is to reach it's development peak or hop over the bell curve and reach close to 90% of it, then its mature. Same applied to financial markets, your bonds can "mature", etc.
So, you can have a 80 year old man thats not responsible, but his brain technically "matured" to its development peak, perhaps when he was 24 years old.
You can also have a 6 year old thats very responsible, puts away all his toys and keeps his room clean, but that doesn't mean that his brain has matured, it will continue changing at a rapid rate and his core personality will change for a while after that.
There isn't alot you can do in your environment to alter this primative function of your brain reaching maturity.
At least I hope, and beleive that this is what these reseachers are truely trying to observe.
Then you have companies like Google who are pushing to go in a completely different direction than everything you said.
I think that people will TRY to do what you say, but I do think its "FUNNY" because I couldn't disagree more how wrong I think you are about the future.
I should be able to click on one place, then click on another (after specifing alliance or horde), and it should show me the Boat/Zepplin/Flight paths to most efficiently get from one place to another.:-)

Fill it half way with ice.
Add water until its full to the top.
Wait a few hours for the ice to melt.
Where is the water level? It should be way down because ICE displaces MORE space than WATER.

So, NO SIGN for any basis of speculation, but we are speculating for the hell of it and calling it news.
Next up, Google might buy Palm... Palm might buy Archos.... I might buy Google... There's some news for you.
I guess I'm just not a whiner. Maybe it comes from being born in Canada...
I have an artificial leg, and don't even have a handicap sticker on my car.
Go USA.
Then again, I really hate Canada, stupid flapping heads. I guess I have no home.
This is totally true, and is not TROLLBAIT.

Use Winamp v2.0 then.
There is no reason you have to upgrade.
I hate it when people think because a software product was modified, that they are FORCED to use thus said modifications.
You seem to think the old WinAmp was stable, secure, fast and light weight... SO USE IT.
You can't read perl? I could read perl when I was 6. I could speak perl when I was 4.
Ruby?! Now thats a foriegn language to us all.
Well, we'll just make an anti-missile-defense-missile-defense shield!
Thats the 2nd time I've used it... :-).
Then again, for some people, EVERY = Twice I guess.

Secondly, they count browser usage based on network traffic, not based on number of downloads/PC's sold.

Well, three balloons is like 1,100 towers... 1,100 towers is ALOT of $$$ upfront and to maintain.
So, I would assume even if this service was 20 times more expensive than a single tower, you'd still want it more than human wants air and food.
Isn't most or all of earth's "ice" about 4 billion years old?
He-he.
USB 1.0 didn't kill SCSI, Steve Ballmer F**KING KILLED SCSI!
Now Ballmer says he is going to F**KING KILL USB.
Man I need a T-Shirt that says that.
"Steve Ballmer says, "I'm going to f**king kill you!"".
