This is what I believe would be happening. Using cell-shading, you now can make 3d stuff appear in 2d. To do away with handrawn animation is not necessarily bad. If you have seen Lion King, the scene w/ all of the water buffalo stampeding, the buffalo were actually all drawn by computer. To produce cels and hand drawn animations gets very expensive. Especially considering that you now have to preserve those. So I would agree that they are moving from handrawn images over to computer drawn images, though it is still all 2d images in the end.

Isn't against the law to be paid less than minimum wage??? Granted restaurants, etc., get away with it, but if the tips received don't exceed minimum wage when added to a wage, then the employer has to pay the difference to the worker. And these "highly educated workers" had to pay some money to goto school and need something more than minimum wage to pay off their college loans. Yeah, there are people overseas that work for less, but cost of living is also a little lower in those areas. I think anyone can see that trying to live, and by live I mean paying for a house, bus tickets, etc. not living comfortably, off of minimum wage is extremely difficult to do.

The thing with supermarkets though is that they can't make things overcharge. Yes, mistakes do happen, it's an imperfect system, but once a year, grocery stores get a check up from the department of weights and measures (or so i think, could be someone else) and they have to get over 90% (or s/th high) of the items correctly scanned (over or under charged, it doesn't matter), otherwise they get in deep shit over it. So anything that happens at the supermarket is usually an honest mistake. That's why they'll give you the item free on things like pricing errors, whereas bestbuy will thank you for pointing out if you were mischarged, then ask you to pay the higher cost instead of the mistake that was lower.
