My mom has a microwave from 1979(?) or so. The thing is a beast. And the best thing is that it doesn't have a dial. It's all a pad like they are nowdays. This thing even has auto-defrost. Not to mention it is huge. It's a wonderful microwave.
Integration w/ SpamAssasin now? SWEEET. I haven't gotten around to setting up and configuring spamassassin since I reinstalled about 2 months ago. But dammit if it wasn't an awesome program.
And what about those of us who would rather work on our car alone and don't know people with scanners? Are we not supposed to work on our cars on our own and waste money?
Did you by chance notice the parent poster mentioning he borrowed it from the Auto Parts store? If you need new parts for you car, I bet you don't make em yourself, you buy em from some kind of store. Some kind of store that sells parts for au-to-mo-biles. OH!!!!! An Auto Parts Store!
Back in my day....
We didnt' have "laptops". No, if we wanted portability, we strapped a few lead acid batteries to our hips, a full tower to our backs, and hung the monitor from our necks. Now that was traveling.
17lbs, you whippersnappers these days have it easy
I've had to lug around a laptop that weighed about 9 lbs before and I swore I would never do it again. I thought that thing was a beast, but 17lbs. The thing better come with one of those back supporter things that you see the guys at home depot wearing
Yeah, cept it's down to 12% now!
That takes care of the gains it made over the past few days. Hopefully this stuff will keep sinking like a lead balloon
Uh-oh, lookout. Billy may start creating his own airforce to take over the world

The Magnusson Moss Warranty Act covers "aftermarket" parts. Aftermarket means, 3rd party, non-dealer, OEM REPLACEMENT parts. This does not include non-OEM replacement parts. OEM replacement parts are manufactured to the same specifications as the original equipment. A new computer chip, supercharger, or new suspension setup are not OEM parts. Now there is a small caveat to all this. If you install a suspension in your car, it voids the warranty on suspension items, but not on drivetrain, etc. If damage can be traced back to one of these tuner parts, you can sure as hell be guaranteed that the dealer will not cover this, and your warranty is voided for that portion of the car.
pussyfooting around the whole OSS issue
How the hell is Maya "pussyfooting" around OSS? It isnt' OSS. MatLAB makes a linux version that you can only buy. B/c they are closed source and making software for linux means they are pussyfooting around something? Just b/c someone makes software for an OSS OS (gnu/linux) does not mean that they have to give their software out for free.
I'll tell you, those things may look like toys, but they are pretty damn capable. We use them here in our engineering department to look at where parts have broken, etc., to do a very rudimentary analysis. Granted, we have much more powerful microscopes to get down to the nitty-gritty stuff, but those microscopes come in handy.
You most certainly can. Go get the "netinst" version that weighs in at around 100MB and everything will be installed via apt-get
I know I've fubared X more than my fair share of times, and lynx was always there for me to go google to fix my problems :-)
On this one, the lid is glued shut, so when you have a paper jam or run out of ink, it's time for a new printer! :-D
Caldera huh? Looks around for an SCO connection
Not too mention the possibility of future contracts that can net your school some major cash.

just to let you know, "virii" is not a word. There is not latin word "virius", so viruses is the proper plural of virus.
You need to go watch a little movie called "Pentagon Wars"
Now all you need is the Ebay Aircraft Carrier to launch the plane off of.

As they say, sure kicking someone when they are down. And I prefer this googlefight, seeing as how the Julia set site mentions "Googleblatted"

Linux Stole SCO Cod
Umm....dead?
j/k
I wouldn't agree with your analogy to aircraft landing gear, but I do say that the backstory is rather interesting.
I don't know how 'well' the DC-X did, considering that it burned itself up on one of its landings.
Yeah....working for peanuts in India would suck, especially when you get trampled by an elephan stampede on payday
