    if it is digital audio out all you need to do is disable the windows driver, then make sure the (l)users don't have the required access to add or change drivers.

    actually i see things going the other way, with computer speakers improving to the point they are at now. My ~$50 Logitech 2.1 speaker set will kick the crap out of a Wal Mart Sterio, especially with the right sound hardware/software behind it, the only thing I have heard better is a Bose CD/Radio (~$500). The reason so much computer audio sounds bad ius people not knowing how to use it, they set every component at max volume except one to control volume, so sure they get the highest possible volume, but they also get a horrible chopped up signal as the peaks cap out either the digital representation or the actual transistors top out. Just because it goes up to 11 doesn't mean you should turn it up to 11.

    old sony camcorders had a dual mode charger/AC adaptor, one side was shaped like the battery contacts and could be used to power the camcorder, while the other side was shaped like the battery socket on the camcorder which could charge the battery. which mode was controlled by a switch.

    nope, but i suppose a hand held device which would copy a cart onto an empty flash drive so you could manually dump your carts into it *may* be legal so long as the code on the chip to play the games is not copied from an NES

    actually more along the lines of "I won't pay for something from someone i don't like, and instead will shop elsewhere", purchasing only independantly released DVD'd and only seeing indie films in theater

    odd, i had *better* crash recovery (yes it does have it) than Office. I do agree that it is slow, I suggest abiword and other lightweight programs iinstead if your machine is too slow with OOo, hopefully this will improve in the future

    actually trademarks do expire, but only once they fall into disuse, or go undefended, unlike patent and copyright which is a fixed time.
