    in the end it will be much cheaper to put together a little arduino device with some custom hardware that connects as if it were one of those drives and reads and writes "DISK00.IMG" on the inserted (micro)SD card.

    insurance will likely be insanely cheap on AI driven cars, it won't make human insurance more expensive, but it will have a major economic impact as most will opt to go with AI only liability coverage for single digit dollars per month.

    my collection is only 215 gigs, but foobar2000 can search and sort it practically instantaneously, and i see no reason to expect it to choke on 5-25x as much data.

    it should not prevent seat 801, or even 8001 from starting, but it should make lots of noise about the problem (splash warning on every excess startup) if a piece of software is critical for a business to function, a wise customer will look elsewhere if the license server going sideways can bring operations down.
