    As far as I know, BRL-CAD has been open source for quite some time now. It also has had an active developer community.

    Cheapest 1920x1200 LCD: $1800 (Apple 23" Cinema HD)
    Cheapest 2560x1600 LCD: $3000 (Apple 30" Cinema HD)

    Ohh and the space you save by buying a 20" LCD versus a 21" CRT is huge. Im in college right now and let me tell you, my 17" Samsung takes up almost my entire desk, right now I would kill for a LCD so that I could have more space to do work. Not to mention the eye strain I get from CRTs, its annoying.

    Secondly, if you are trying to imply that welfare and social support are dirty words in America, umm get a grip, they aren't. The US has welfare and social support programs for the people that need them, not for the lazy.

    Thats because when that hydrogen flame is burning, it is also heating up the air around it which is what causes the visible flame.

    Try burning hydrogen in space, then tell me if it has a colored flame.

    Yeah, well the engine itself was highly radioactive, but the exhaust wasn't. And the thing that would have done the killing was not the radioactivity, but was the fact that the ramjet could fly at treetop level at over Mach 3 forever. The shockwave created at that altitude is very very destructive.
