    for a good cheap comp though, nforce3 + athlon + ram + HD + cd/dvd + case probablly might end up coming out to around $500. But the computer definetly wont be the size of the mac mini, or as quiet.

    yes there are, there is the ATI Wonder USB 2.0 that handles regular TV and it costs $130. There is also the Elgato EyeTV 500 which handles HDTV and costs $350. Both use the elgato eyetv software which is supposed to be very good.

    Then put some wicked cool Red LED Lights in the front of the car, and whenever the car talks to me, the red lights act like a visualizer of sorts. Knight Rider here I come!

    No they never got it right.

    The american's got it right, they got it almost perfect, but congress didn't give them enough cash so they had to take out a lot of things from the shuttle design to make it as cheap as possible and as safe as possible.

    The core of the OS yes.

    But you wont get Aqua or any other special features apple puts in there like spotlight, core image, and whatnot.

    It could be that they are using the new freescale dual core G4 chipsets with on die memory controllers and 1mb L2 cache. They are supposed to be really really good with power consumption too.

    Yeah it could, but if I were you, I would wait till Apple releases their Asteriod breakout box, its supposed to cost around $150 or so and have lots of audio inputs available.

    Your also pretty damned ignorant, they are suing him to reveal who broke the NDA. Apple isn't a bunch of evil bastards and they aren't looking to make money off this kid or ruin his life, they just want to scare the shit of their employees so they do not reveal more trade secrets.

    The video output is pretty damned good if you ask me, I use an adapter similiar to that for my ibook and gaming is pretty sweet on the TV :-D

    Ok... RTFA!!!

    It was both DVI and VGA, and you can buy a cheap $20 adapter so you can also get composite video and svideo out from it.

    That Gateway runs XP, nuff said. Either way, it only has a CDrom drive, no burner. Secondly upgradable? hah it only has 3 pci slots not even an AGP. Almost anything you can upgrade on htat POS with PCI you can do with Firewire.

    Crippled OS? No. Apple only has two versions of their OS, OS X Server, and OS X. It is exactly the same as the OS running the powermacs and ibooks and mac minis.

    They still don't have an excel competitor, so no iWork will not directly compete with Office 2004. And I dunno but it seems iWork is designed more for the graphics media people.
