You can use PK authentication for the SSH traffic(for example if you want to thwart bruteforce attempts by allowing ONLY PK authentication) but the NX login requires a password regardless, I assume for security measures; I personally am cool with that.
VNC only offers a low form of control compared to what I get out of NX(IIRC, I never could get VNC to recognize more than 3 buttons on my mouse but I need the use of all 5), or rdesktop for that matter, and you don't need any special ports open, just SSH. And to top it off, NX offers better compression which is why they're likely closing the source. I have tried to convince NoMachine to make a Windows version but apparently they don't care about it despite my offers of wealth.
I dunno but that is the exact same thing that got the band Negativland(http://www.negativland.com ) sued by U2 over their(Negativland's) album called "U2".
I still have a copy of DesqView/X which I know came afterward but was a much better alternative. I remember a friend showing me it running on top of DOS and Windows 3.1(or maybe it was '95) running on DVX. That was better multitasking than Windoze ever brought.
I didn't think that WPA2 by itself prevented snooping if one was already connected to the network. I know there are routers that will give each connected device its own subnet so that snooping is impossible/improbable but I snoop my own network all the time without said protections and I know for certain I'm using WPA2.
First of all, this was a cop, not an office worker(I'm not an office worker either for that matter). Officers are held to a higher standard due to the oath they swear. Secondly, getting pissed off and saying "stop it" doesn't remotely compare to threatening to arrest someone for assault over said bubbles; much less apparently doing so. Perhaps you missed those minor points.
Seriously, is this the best you could come up with?
No, homie was being a threatening asshole. Nobody was threatening him and he was just looking to be a dick to make up for the one he doesn't have. The other officer right beside him was cool and didn't give a fuck that she was blowing them because....the girl wasn't brandishing a rock or other weapon. The bubbles also weren't being blown "in his face", she was a good 4 feet away from him. So if you wanna come blow bubbles "in my face" at that range and with the same intensity(5-10 bubbles every 10 seconds or so..hell, I'll give you up to 100 of them), you could ask stupid questions all day long..most I'm gonna do is ignore you.
You know there's this thing called.... *dealing with it*, and cops have to do it too... Of course with your attitude, I'm thinking you're probably a fellow pig(not all officers are pigs but Bubbles is)...maybe even Bubbles himself...
No, when you're in a position of power, you tend to see yourself as infallible and as such any actions against you tend to prop up that feeling of infallibility and piousness, and since you're already acting from a position of "righteousness", you tend to sue(or seek other legal action). Regardless, the average joe will let something slide because they realize that they're not perfect and that they may have done something that would affect the outcome anyway..like maybe harassed an innocent person.... You can see this in such instances as that representative from North Carolina(I think) who thought he could manhandle a college student who was simply asking him questions on camera...
This story is old/a dupe. This was announced quite a while back. I can't find a lot of the old info thanks to this recent story but here's one from last year and I'm sure there are some from a couple years ago..
I don't feel the need to protect their feelings; I am like this with family as well, online or in person. If they can't keep it straight, I do it for them and it gives them a bit of feedback that people might just be fed up with their shit. I ESPECIALLY do this if I hear "tealiban", "demoncrat", "teabagger" or any other term meant to polarize politically/socially whether I support their view or not.
Yes, I did consider dealing with it myself, and I did, however I was already experiencing the worst of the problem long before I discovered what was actually causing it(you should note, I knew all about this about a year ago..this is all old news to me at this point). This isn't something where you think the thing is hot to the touch and it burns you, it's just a bit extra warm for long enough to tan your skin.
You see, it doesn't start out sauteing you, it starts out with some red marks that look like the vent gratings, so the first thing I figured was that the gratings were leaning against my leg causing it to get red from the pressure, and I dealt with that. When it turned brown a month later then I knew that it was definitely a heat issue, and I began to deal with that. After discovering that the screen's edge was the hottest of the bunch, I realize exactly what was failing in the design and I dealt with that.
That said, they still damaged my body due to their shitty design and I think they should do something about that. A replacement laptop of my choice would be cheap to them and acceptable to me, though I doubt I'll actually do anything unless I hear that there is a class action lawsuit involved. So don't think that I'm one of those who jump on an issue just because there's money in suing; that I definitely am not but I've learned in the past that if you don't act in time, you could lose all hope of getting any compensation(I have back problems that will never be paid for by the person who caused them due to this..so I'm well aware of how that works).
I have/had this. The design on my laptop(a Dell...and NEVER again) is such that all the air exiting is then redirected by the laptop screen and a large portion of it is directed toward my left leg. What doesn't hit my leg usually heats up the screen such that it's incredibly uncomfortable to touch to my skin.
I have a brown area above my knee that you can clearly see the vent grating pattern. Only last night had I considered suing Dell for the damage I have but most of it has gone away compared to a few months ago.

...for the PC, not the Xbox. I was pretty certain that was incredibly clear...did they announce something I'm unaware of?
commenting to kill an accidentally bad mod...
No, the core of the problem was the album cover. The other stuff was merely incidental.

replace "/sys/fs" with "/dev" as is mentioned in the "how to do this on Ubuntu" and it'll work just fine.
You do realize that cell phones use more than just GPS satellite data to determine position, etc., right?
"In early Christianity the Bible was written only in Latin"
That would be the New Testament, the Old Testament was Hebrew, IIRC.

A few years ago this happened to a rattlesnake at the serpentarium a few miles from here.

Nope, those things were much larger than what she had in her hand. They were more like small briefcases.

Thanks....forgot to follow up with that part.
That's not the only thing that causes the Brazil nuts to heat things up...
Brazil nuts are known to contain over 12,000 pico curies...

Yeah, like my secretary should be disciplined for sending those naughty pictures of herself....she's been a baaad girl and deserves a spanking..
FYI, there's a special "Anti-Sandboxie" setting in many of the builders for these trojans; as well as Anti-VirtualPC, etc.
