    It's true that this can and has happened in the US (aol...). The difference is that when you do a crime in the US, the FBI and local agencies have jurisdiction.

    When crime happens to US citizens in a foreign country, we report it and hope for the best. If it happens here (US) the various agencies can force the company to change practices and enforce corporate security.

    Blocking "bad" sites from my children's computer is the ONLY reason that their computer uses Internet Explorer. Site blocking is built in as well as a password "pop-up" box that allows me to approve a site once or permanently. Mixed with Googles Toolbar (pop-up blocking) it works pretty good.

    I've been trying to find an extension for FireFox that does this for quite some time.

    It is getting more difficult to get contract jobs because companies are starting to fear us (contractors/consultants). Because of these people and people like them I am forced to go through "preferred vendors" as middle men to get jobs.

    I hope they loose. I hope HP does not punish its other contractors for this. What part of "CONTRACTor" do they not understand?

    Google returns results for C# as typed. I would think Microsoft may want to fix this one.

    I've had DirecTV for two years. The signal was always great even in light storms (Florida). Heavy thunderstorms have killed the signal on a few occasions... most of those times the power failed soon after anyway.

    One problem I did have was: after a very windy storm, the dish moved slightly. The DirecTV people wanted $80 to re-align the dish. I had a "talk" with their Customer Retention department and they fixed it for free.

    Actually, LEVIs was dying BEFORE Wal*Mart. They teamed up in a last ditch effort to save themselves. Wal*Mart is finishing them off by forcing cheaper wholesale prices on them.

    Why does everyone want governments to sue Microsoft. Yes the monopoly is a bad thing but what it did was build a more "religious" call to Linux.

    If Microsoft was much smaller, would Linux be getting so big, so fast? The monopoly did what I think monopolies should do, spurred aggressive competition. The government did not make Linux big by suing Microsoft and, if the EU wins, YOU won't see any of the money.

    In my personal opinion, suing is bad no matter who the target is (ok, yes pure intentional negligence should be punished).
