Using GIMP 1.2 may expose you to transmission of the dreaded "Debian Syndrome", a severe neurosis which is evidenced by the refusal to declare anything less then half a decade out of date as "stable".
Professional audio is one of Linux's weak points. Kernel 2.6 might help by integrating ALSA completely and making MIDI less of a bitch to configure, but there is still vast room for improvement in setup and the available software packages. Hopefully, if this is a success, Lionstracs will be investing in relevant OSS (abbreviating for "software", not "digital dog turd masquerading as a sound system") projects.
Perhaps, but if we weren't willing to make compromises in order to evangelize with our money (or lack thereof), we wouldn't be using Linux in the first place.:)
How about the Halo trial? That card works excellently with it in my dad's box (mine will never be soiled by the foul binaries of WinXP or WineX.) Oh, and he has an Athlon 650, too.
If the time comes that NVidia actually releases documentation on their card internals and the DRI Project can write open-source drivers for them, there won't be any reason to buy ATI cards anymore.
If the Securities and Exchange Commission is busying themselves by estimating the size of solar flares, I guess that explains why the job market is in the pits.
7 was. Interestingly enough... if I remember correctly, they also released the American version translated back into Japanese as "Final Fantasy 7 International Edition". I'm not sure why.
I'll bite, out of amusement that your poorly co-opted troll claims there are cheaper alternatives to Linux.:) How would that ever work? Does MS pay you to use Windows now?
You were in a post-apocalyptic world and had to fight all sorts of creatures and people. It had a power meter thing that you had to use by hitting the spacebar at a certain point to get a powerful hit, so it factored in skill and reflexes. Tons of fun.
I'm pretty sure that was Mutants. Great game. I've never been able to find it on a free telnet BBS...:/
A lot of applications need specialized file selectors (with previews and such,) the old file selector can't be specialized so it needs to be reconstructed, these reconstructions usually don't take the utmost of care when conforming to GNOME UI/i18n/etc guidelines, and chaos ensues. I think.
I'll bet a few bucks that it does not allow customers to "indemnify" MS in any manner that the agreement could possibly defend against in a court of law, and a few that it couldn't, just for good measure.
Too bad their BIOS programmers make Microsoft dev teams look like bug-busting compatability fanatics. I'd buy a processor by them if it didn't come with a VIA BIOS... although the microcode is probably buggy and incompatible as well.

...I recall the creator has said he will release the source (but not the data) under the GPL after %BIGNUM sales.
There was an open-source car named the Hypercar or something, but no one manafactured it, just stole its ideas.
Yeah, 4 lines containing 200 billion parentheses.

That was a Mr. Stubbins Ffirth, born in 1784. Congratulations- you discovered the secret to eternal youth!
Although I see you got fed up with the celebrity and staged your own death in 1820.
Loki went out of business because they struck a deal with the wrong loan shark, not because nobody bought their games.

"(C) SCO", I believe.
Really? My own tests suggested that it was "Netcraft confirms".

Hrm. I was going to suggest SuperCard, but apparently it's not for Windows anymore...
You can dig up the older, cross-platform version (3.frog-knows) if you're not concerned about OS X compatibility. It'll be quite cheap, too.
Sadly, there's no OSS presentation software of this caliber.

I could have sworn the real deal was "Trollax0r".

I would say .hack has proven the medium's potential for success already, and with shorter episodes too.

Uh, the price/performance ratio is the best of all time, not the efficiency.

Could you name some of those vendors, please?
Well, I do it because I find switching virtual desktops easier then switching windows.
Do 1280x960 screens exist?
I could have sworn I posted this before, but is there a vector drawing program (preferably OSS) that comes anywhere near Illustrator?
Sodipodi is usable, but that's about it. Last time I tried figurine and sketch they were less pleasant to draw with then dog turds.
