Then we have to determine what is and is not "pornographic". Which is hard to define and will require government. And that definition may change over time (depending on who's got the most money and better lawyers).
Of course there are other issues. Like what happens when your ISP decides it's not going to serve xxx domains anymore due to bandwidth limitations (they may blame pirates/bot-nets/terrorists/boogymen).
It's good info but doesn't apply to me. I've already got a high quality monitor. And for movies/guests, I've got a projector connected to a 2nd video card. Computer monitors tend to have a better display then TV's. But I'd take an HDTV over a CRT monitor or something.
As much as I love Android there are other things that could be improved. Until I have NoScript I don't want Flash anywhere near my Android! And even then I'd like to think sites will soon be moving away from Flash and it'll be unnecessary. For awhile there the lack of Flash on devices was a good reason not to use it. Now the nonsense can run wild again.
I sold my remaining TV about 5 years ago when I realized I had not even turned it on for many months. I don't miss it at all. Anything worth watching is on the internet.
Maybe Their parents allow them to do so. Just because you don't agree with it doesn't give you the right to regulate them.
How would you like it if I told you how to raise your kids? Hey everybody lets pass a law banning kids from being outside after 3pm!! What you don't agree with that?
I know your just trolling but I'd still like to explain that my point was I couldn't maintain a normal relationship due to my obsession. I always gave priority to my projects and neglected the important people in my life. I had girls around for sex but no real relationship till recently.
I've been there. For years I was like that. I basically put my life on hold all through my teens and 20's. Then eventually I realized I was missing out on a lot, and made an effort to not make coding my priority in life. This was a very difficult transition that took about 2 years. Now I'm finally able to accept that it's something I do when I have time. Before if I tried to hang out with friends or something it'd be bothering me the whole time that I wasn't being productive. It was like an obsession that would pain me until I was back at it.
It feels good to be free of that. I still love to code but I now have a real relationship (not just sex buddies), I see my family regularly and occasionally get out for some fun.
More then anything I think the key is to try to relax. Truly stop to smell the roses, do some traveling, meet some people. I Do miss that zone though. If things were just right, I could do 15 hours a day. Overall though, my life's better now.
This would have more uses then just people getting shot at. Anyone who may take a blow from something could benefit. Like construction workers, police, perhaps animal handlers, motorcyclists.. If they make gloves there would be even more uses.
More importantly, this allows more people to sell their apps. A result of Google's failure to allow developers in many other countries to sell on the Android Market. Devs want to sell their apps, and since Google isn't allowing them, Vodafone is stepping in. It's a win for everyone except Google. But at least the platform is open, which allows this to happen. On Apple's platforms, the devs and users would simply be screwed.
Fair points. Your right, they probably did not follow proper rules of engagement. Having never served I'm not in any position to be sure of those rules so I'll assume I am wrong on this. Thanks for the correction(s).
So you wouldn't mind going over to Baghdad without telling anyone that your there and pointing something at USMC troops from around the corner of a building?
Actually when I made that post the original article made no mention that these were "Journalist Killings". Nor had I read TFA or watched "A short version with some initial analysis". My opinion was based on and only on watching the full video.
That said. I can't feel sorry for these guys. I know I'm going to get modded to hell but seriously, you can't cry about someone who goes into a war zone and gets shot. If there's going to be media on a battlefield they need to make their location known to the military forces. They need to get clearance before they go charging into an area occupied by enemy troops.
This is like crying when a crackhead lunges at a cop and gets shot.
I'm still ignorant as to where the children came from. Did the journalists bring them into the kill zone? Were they with the guys that had the RPG? Either way you have to question the actions of their guardian(s).
Don't get me wrong, I'm not military and I don't support this war.
I agree. Having just watched the full length video I saw nothing wrong at all with what we did. A group of people were about to attack our marines. We saw the threat and eliminated it. End of story. Job well done.
Is it our fault these bastards brought children along with their squad? I think not.
The SB16 was possibly the only Good thing they ever made. Actually I'll correct that, most of their hardware has been pretty damn good. It's the software side of things that always ruined their products. Never again Creative, you got my last dollar many years ago.
I haven't used Skype in a year or two but it was possible to have outbound service but no inbound number (if that's all you wanted to pay for). I'm sure there are other situations as well where an inbound number doesn't exist.
Oh My!

Schools get a bunch of my tax dollars for education and this is how they spend it? How is this making students any smarter?

My G1 is still stuck at 1.6! Why should I get excited about 2.2?
Yeah I know there are 3rd party OS's but I kinda like the vanilla UI.

And what uses would those have been? /. without unicode support.
I haven't felt deprived in any way reading

Exactly, this is just another option for users.

Not quite a robot but internet sex toys do exist, http://highjoy.com/
No replacement for the real thing of course but if your partner is out of town you can still uh, interact ;)

People with low IQs smoke. ...well no shit.

Totally agree. Find someone your happy with. Get checked out. If everything's clean, go at it like rabbits. Nothin wrong with that at all!
About half of those were/are fairly successful.

Games like Ghost Squad allow you to calibrate the remote giving you that kind of precision already. Sadly, not all games have this option.
