It's true not all Android phones have a physical keyboard, they do all have touchscreens though. They also all have a standard set of buttons (granted not necessarily in the same place). Pretty sure they all have accelerometers too.
As far as I know the only significant differences with the various phones currently out are the versions of Android. Old phones may still be running 1.5. Version 1.6 is still popular and newer phones like the Droid and NexusOne use 2.1 I believe.

Maybe Joe sixpack shouldn't be using a computer.
Seriously, were entering an age when game consoles, cell phones and toasters have internet access. Lets give common people common devices and leave computers to those intelligent enough to use them.
I think MechWarrior 2 was the last thing Activision ever did that I cared about. I certainly won't be buying anything from them anytime soon. And they'll be crying when this fan made game leaks out accidentally onto the internet and is enjoyed by all and they get absolutely nothing.
Very informative post. Crazy how we have to do all that (and apparently more) to do what a single cable used to do.
I can understand the need for fly by wire in an aircraft where the pilot's own strength was needed to force flaps and rudders and such to move against the wind. But do we really need it for cars beyond power steering and brakes?
I'm pretty sure my old TV capture card with DVR predated the Tivo. I could be wrong but I am skeptical that Tivo was first. Maybe the first console unit?
It's not much different then the situation you see with FireFox extensions. When Droid came out, 2.0 became the latest Android version and it took the app devs some time to catch up.
Am I the only one that could care less about all this 3D hype? I'm still waiting for something with a good story to come along. A 3D turd is still a turd.
Does any of that help me run video on my cellphone (or whatever device) today? H264 is already supported in hardware. Why should I or anyone else go through a bunch of fuss to get Theora to work (likely only in software)?
Sure maybe in the future Theora will be common.. That does nothing for us now. By the time it does happen it'll be too late.
Naa, Sony's more likely to put a rootkit on your system then sue you.
California should be more concerned with the fact that the state is just about bankrupt with one of the highest unemployment rates in the country.
Interesting stuff. Is there a website that details what cars have what in terms of chips and such?

Far more violence has been caused by religion. Yet we give these people a free pass and tax breaks.

CNET has a nice list of just about every cell phone model out there and how much radiation they put out.

Italy's in the western world?

hahaha, the second I posted, I hit refresh and there's 20 other people saying the same thing :)
I'd tape Cat6 cables to the ends of the coax cables then pull them through. Presto new cables where the old ones were.

If they were foreign they'd have to offer considerably better service for a lower price.

I'm sure someone will reply with their horror story but they've been good to me. Sadly, I can't name a second company.
I thought the same thing and I never even played CS.
I'd rather my tax dollars go into the space program then all this other shit:

That still doesn't help the mobile device issue.
I agree with the GP, Theora needs hardware support on all devices yesterday.
>You know, Theora video doesn't suck at 400x226.
Fixed that for you.

Because they want you to buy a new car in a few years.
It seems the US public education system has failed me once again (not a surprise).
