I cannot disagree with you more. Seriously, for how much time I've played the game and how much enjoyment I've received from the game I have gotten my money's worth multiple times. The article I read specifically states that this does not mean that support for l4d is going away. It also stated that it is a possibility that l4d would be included with l4d2. Something else I'm completely fine with, I would simply give my copy of l4d away to someone who was unsure if they wanted to buy the game.
Looks to be plenty of new content, 5 campaigns, new infected, new behaviors from old special infected, melee weapons, expanded alteration game play driven by the ai (maps will vary from play to play).
If you think it sucks don't buy the game. I will gladly shell out the money when the game is released (fully expecting it to sell for half the price 6 months later).
I don't know if anyone has mentioned this... but I would think if they have "probable cause" they can do it. They cannot however just search your house to randomly check a perfectly functioning piece of equipment. However if they have valid reasons for suspecting that your router or other device is causing interference they may very well be legally able to enter your house. Just as the police may enter they witness a crime in action.
Yay, another person who didn't read the actual article but is going to jump to conclusions based on the poorly written summary.
Reduce the price of your study to 3 grand and find someone too stupid to figure out your TELEPORTATION MACHINE isn't feasible and you're in business.
You didn't read the article did you?
They're asking 7 cities for $5k each. Which sounds a lot more reasonable than what you implied from the summary, but don't let that stop you from reaching your predetermined conclusion.
Would give me free e-book versions of the dead tree books I already purchased through amazon, it would be a done deal. I'd buy one today. Hell, I'd be willing to tear the covers off each book I bought and send it in to them to prove I haven't/won't resell them.
Citation? Everything I've witnessed the "tax protests" were all carefully orchestrated by the GOP. Additionally they were rather retarded attempt to criticize the current administration which wasn't in any way shape or form responsible for the taxes being paid on the day of protest.
Its even more ironic to not that since the tax policies of the current administration have actually gone into effect, my taxes have gone DOWN.
but... its not the perfect fit for everything. Personally I think all dumb pipes should be owned by the public and thus managed by the government. This includes freeways, rails, fiber, rivers, canals, sewer lines, radio frequencies and actual pipes (well to the address, it shouldn't own the pipes in your house but even those should be regulated to meet code). All these things require some sort of eminent domain to lay down and use effectively.
Then content providers (electric power/video/voice/etc) ought to be private and given equal rates from the government.
Google is a corporation, the shareholders (or their representatives) decide what they find inappropriate. They are free to digitize/offer or not said books. They are not a publically funded library.
I rather enjoyed the game. My one complaint though is damn it's hard and the difficulty curve is steep. Maybe if the game had 3 times as many levels, with varying degrees of difficulty that helped you learn what you needed to do, I could finish the game.
Portal is a game that goes from easy to insanely difficult, but working through each level "trains" you up to where the end is achievable.
IBM and SUN operate too much of the same space... the merger doesn't do anything other than mean the elimination of too man products that all compete.
netbeans/eclipse
Glassfish/WSAD
Solaris/AIX
Plus they both compete in the hardware market. In the long run this just means less competition in a market that I actually care about.
If some other tech company (like google) that had orthogonal interests bought the company that would be a win.
I can't tell what you're saying. Are you actually trying to say "correlation is causation" because that is simply not true. Correlation is not causation, but hell that isn't even what most people say. "Correlation does not imply causation" which is also true, correlation doesn't say anything about the nature of the relationship between two events.
Seriously... you're an idiot if you are going to twitter about taking a shit or a piss. If you're going to twitter something meaningful, like hey I'm on the subway and its being delayed b/c some jackass jumped off the platform and I'm going to be late to (wherever). Then supposing you're friends are following you they will know... where you are and why you're late.
Twittering is no more idiotic than instant messaging. Its like an email list for instant messaging. It has qualities a chat room lacks like a degree of permanence.
But hey lets make another joke about twittering your bathroom habits and maybe you'll get modded +5 funny and not just redundant.
But please not by IBM, they have too many competing products and this will effectively just strip out competition.
As fro Glassfish being entry level product for websphere? Huh? its.. WSAD not WHAPPY.
I'd like to see Sun paired with a company that has experience with consumers and consumer products like Apple (probably never going to happen). A company where the two could benefit each other not a company that will swallow Sun's product line and make it disappear or merge with its own.
I'm a liberal... and I say send them to Texas (i.e. hang em til they're dead or just make them live in Texas not sure which is worse) regardless of political affiliation.
How did they cave? I played the demo and skimmed the articles accusing the developers of racism, but I'm unaware of any changes they made in response to the charges. So what did they change?
Not that I'll buy the game, I really did not like the controls in the demo.
If I ever had an absurd amount of expendable money, I wouldn't be very interested in a flying car. What would pique my interest is a Flying RV especially one that could do VTOL.
Is it really that difficult for a corn grower to move some or all of their production from corn to rapeseed/flax/linseed/ whatever crop is best for bio-diesel? IANAF, so serious question how difficult(expensive) would it be?
"This _____ is eligible for our replacement plan. I recommend it because if the product fails after the manufacturer's warranty, it will be replaced with an Office Depot Merchandise card for the full price you are paying today."
If this shocks, amazes, or angers you. Get a fucking life. How is this news at all? If they want to lose a sale b/c they're not selling a protection plan, well I would think they are just shooting themselves in the foot.
That is funny. I'm in the Midwest and I use T-Mobile. There service works for me wherever I go in the Midwest. There service is as good or better than AT&T or Verizon in my experience. Although cellular companies much like cable companies and telcoms all seem to suffer from group mediocrity.

I can only hope the moderators were being humorous. zoidberg particles? Or maybe its time to start moving my investment portfolio over to sandwiches.
Um... seriously? If they know the specific customer they wouldn't need to install the trojan.

Bankrupt?
The word doesn't mean what you think it does.

More likely any sort of corporate sponsorship or support for NetBeans would disappear, which would suck.

'The web is becoming an integral part of the computer and the basic distinction between the OS and the browser doesn't matter very much any more'
Wanting it to be so and it being so are two entirely different things.
