Pfft. I suppose so, but have you ever used a phone in a WAP scenario? If you can type at least 50 WPM on a computer you can adept cell phone WPM quite easily.
Mainecoon's reply to this thread is a good example; people like us, nano, are able to see this misunderstood way of thought and perhaps shed some enlightenment..
I find it amazing that Morgan is so quick to jump on a fad. Google is great, and I love it so..but we all know it has it's shortfalls, especially with the popularity search it provides. Sometimes when I do electronics-related searches all I get is pages of links to places with "great deals". I miss the Google of years ago.
RotK > Bad Santa? Where can I get whatever you're on, because that's some strong shit! You also stated that you enjoyed The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen > X-Men II. I think if you said this in public in the Philippines you'd be smacked harshly on the bum with a wooden cane.
Not to be an ass, but what the hell is wrong with you?
So, he was able to obtain somewhere around 4.4 GHZ on a 3GHZ Pentium setup, with XP to boot [blegh]. Not bad, but give me a year and I'll have the same thing at not such an inane temp. and size. Admirable project, nonetheless.
Don't be so shallow about Minidisc. Granted, HD players/etc are becoming better and better each quarter, still doesn't mean that each format has it's own advantages. In terms of recording, portability, style, editing functions, + much more, Minidisc can hold it's own and will continue to do so.
The possibilities are endless, espically since blue-ray discs are on the horizon and miniturization is advancing rapidly.
Ignorance towards a commonly overlooked product just results in more ignorance. Just because you most likely live in the United States and are exposed to HD players incessantly, doesn't mean it's like that in the rest of the world. Visit Japan [or Asia for that matter] and contest with me that Minidisc doesn't have a huge following.
Ride the wave.

Well, since we've essentially raped our planet, time to move on to the next! I suppose whatever mankind must do to carry on will be justified no matter what. If the planet(s) is uninhabited, I suppose it's no big loss anyways.
My Aunt and Uncle have been working for IBM since the "glory days" of computing, and through that I realized that IBM has a solid foot in the door. They provide servers/computers for hundreds of companies around the world, with the biggest being probably half or more of the current blue-chip corporations.
If I was a big wig in the Army I wouldn't want my institution associated with a sinking ship.
"Real" is trying to remain "relevant". :P
I know, it's a crazy world we live in. If I had the ability to tell a baseball fan 40 - 50 years ago they wouldn't believe it. What's next indeed..
That makes me feel quite at ease about the program. :P
Check out the last page of the googlecache.
Another dot-com hoping to sink their feet? Oh yeah, what's this API business? There's dozens of pages of googlecached stuff relevant to it.
Are these people internet savvy at all?

No, it qualifies you for MENSA.
..or want to see.
Despite the fact that most of the people who populate the internet are from North America, what are the statistics for the rest of the world?
