    Aha! So Microsoft will eventually release a separate version of Windows 8 for desktop without Metro but full of bloat to slow down "obsolete" PCs and get the upgrade treadmill going again.

    Box is a cloud storage solution, like Dropbox or Google Drive.

    I had never heard of them until Root File Manager (Android file manager) asked me to connect to it.

    Do you have the slightest idea of what it takes to own 4.5% of a company like Microsoft if you're not:

    - the founder
    - a corporate fund (hedge, mutual, pension, etc.)
    - an investment bank
    - a government entity

    What additional harm could a 16-digit string cause when people happily and willingly furnish Facebook with their full name, sex, DOB, address, pictures, employer's name, former employer's name, school, friends' and relatives' names, hobbies, personal preferences, real-time location, etc.?

    To each their own, dude!! I still use the Win95 Classic look on all my Windows PCs (Win7 and Win8). I disable all animations on my Android devices.

    When everyone is moving from magnetic storage to solid state storage, Seagate is going against the tide.

    Storage media with moving parts are bad enough for laptops, let alone tablets that get moved around a lot, dropped, sat on, etc.

    If Seagate suits really want to see this thing fly, it'd be much more interesting to put these drives into laptop for some badass RAID arrays.

    I find this study to be extremely flawed, not to say elitist / racist.

    Yes, rednecks who listen to country music and drink cheap beer and whisky like to have friends who are also rednecks who listen to country music and drink cheap beer and whisky.

    If the study had been conducted with 2000 subjects from culturally diverse places, like NY or Tokyo, I'm sure the results would've been a lot diferent.
