My homail account receives about 1-2 spam messages a week. I have my filters set to the lowest possible settings, but even still Hotmail bounces someof my legit mail.

don't get me wrong, Hotmail does smell bad, but until I can get something better, I'm mired in it.

  7. Color and centerfold on Multidimensional Crosswords? · · Score: 2, Interesting

if your going to do something extravagant, swipe the entire center fold.

i would say that a crossword of normal x,y dimensions would work (though this depends on space and what your norm is... just play with it) the z would be maybe 5 deep (again, playing with this can help.

now. you have the centerfold. start in the bottom left corner place you x,y matrix for z1 (if it were a cube this would be the front side) now, move up and to your right, place your x,y matrix for z2. continure until finished.

you should have a diagonal line of boxes, this leaves the other two corners for hints.

now, on a numbering scheme. lets say for example on the z1 x,y matrix you have a 1 down and a one across AND a one 'spanning' (for lack of a better word). On z2, you also have a one down, a one across, and the previous one spanning.

now, to number these a few ways come to mind. one would be to color code each Z matrix and match the clues to them. another would be to just number the squares normaly for z1 and then normaly on z2, except starting on the ending number for z3.

coming up with the words themselves would blow my mind.

explaining it shouldn't be that hard, and in the space on the corners you could do it.

I would assume that the smaller your dimensions the less mind blowing.

if you do get this working you'll have to hook me up with a link.

    Now.
    we have Oil.
America makes gas using cars, and gas using moped.
China makes electric bikes. that run off of coal power plants.

    years into the future.

    We no longer have Oil.
millions of useless chunks of metal, formerly known as SUV's appear in junk yards in America. We have a transportation crisis because gas prices are insanely high.

China, running on its electric bikes, and possibly vehicles, loses its coal power plants. However these are replaced by hydro- and solar-electric ones.

So, ultimately having electric vehicles [bikes cars] eases the passage into utilizing sources of power that are green.

    And China is leading.

Valid. If Mozilla = Windows. However it doesn't, and Choice remains. Don't want to use Mozilla's integrated Desktop/browser? Great! we have just the thing for you: KDE.

    Your second Point:
The second reason, which is relevant here, is that there's really no good reason why _any_ web browser should be integrated with the desktop environment. Completely apart from the lack of choice aspect, it's simply bad software design.

Well... ok.. there is no good reason why a web browser should be integrated with a desktop, its bad software design. Forgive me, but I don't see why. I say there is really no reason that the browser _shouldn't_ be integrated. Bad software design? how so? I feel its merely a different approach to a problem. Just because it may be associated with M*soft doesn't make it a bad idea...

KDE doesn't impress me much stylisticly, while XP, I feel is much better. (i think OSX beats both). If Mozilla can bring more style to linux this way, i say have at it.

I have used this at work to store the images of different workstations, (windows 98, NT, 2000, XP) which in case of a hard drive going bad, which happens far too often with Dell provided W*stern Digital drives, I can just replace the drive, hook up my USB and disk and go.

Now to boot multiple Operating systems from a USB key could be done the same way, by using a Floppy which installs your drivers, after this you'd have to write something to refer to a menu to choose your operating system.
