  1. I was thinking the same thing. Don't tell the movie companies, can you imagine how many more previews they will add before each movie?

  4. we use 'username@domain.tld' on Ask Slashdot: Name Conflicts In Automatically Generated Email Addresses? · · Score: 1

Both at the university I attended and another university that I currently work at use 'username@domain.tld' for the reason that usernames are always unique. There are too many name conflicts in a large group of people. Where I work now, we offer users to setup custom email aliases where they could choose 'firstname.lastname@domain.tld', but it is on a first come first serve basis.

My wife and I were just recently talking about this. We would love for it to go to a referendum and would both vote against it. The speed cameras are inaccurate and only make people slow down for the block/area right next to the camera. The best way to make a signaled intersection safer is to increase the yellow light time and possibly add a short period 1sec when it is red in all directions, not to put in a red light camera which just causes more rear endings. Does anyone know how to make this go to a referendum?

If they support a web form to add your number to the list as they say they will, couldn't we just write a script to add ALL phone numbers to the do not call list? Even if they call the number submitted to verify that you want to be on the list, I'm sure most people would agree to it.

I was an IE user until I installed Mozilla.
I have now been using Mozilla for the past few months and rarely have ever run across a page that doesn't display properly. As a Web Application Developer I now use Mozilla as my browser of choice. Mozilla supports all of the current standards properly and doesn't add browser specific functionality like IE does.
I hope AOL switches to Mozilla as it is a superior browser to IE.

Cold Fusion 4.0 supports Query Caching and Dynamic Page Caching for dynamic pages that don't need to be updated often. I have been programming in CF for 2 years now and enjoy its functionality and ease of development. I find it to be a very customizable and dynamic language, especially with the new functionality in CF 4.5. I have not coded much with PHP, so I can not comment on a comparison with CF at the moment, but I hope to someday master PHP as well. I recommend that you download the CFML Language Referance Guide from http://www.allaire.com/handlers/index.cfm?ID=13381 &Method=Full& Title=ColdFusion%204%2E5%20 Documentation&Cache=False
