Why do we keep seeing this being reported incorrectly by security "professionals"?
Using SMS has always been two STEP, not two factor. You need to use the correct words describing a system if you are going to rag on that system.
Uhh but don't you then burn the petrol which in turn puts the CO2 back in the air?
Ride your bike, plant more trees, and stop destroying the rain forests. Answer is very simple.
If I had mod points I would be giving them to you. I'm from MN too and it's common knowledge to seasoned sysadmin's here. I find it sad that facebook has to waste money and energy.
When I was working for a pharmacy chain back in 2007/08ish, and I got to see a presentation on Google Heath at a conference. Our software provider was partnering with Google to import all your prescription information into Google Health in real time. At the time the idea of being able to have several different pharmacies, doctor offices, and hospitals put your information into a central "electronic health record" was being pushed by Obama's campaign to lower health care costs and save lives. There was money to be had.
Of course this would be an extremely valuable service for Google, but medical industry is very powerful and clouded by federal laws. As we move forward, electronic health records are still right around the corner and someone will make all the money. I doubt there will be more then one private entity storing your data, but then again it could be like Medicare D and you have to choose from 20+ companies.
(By the way, the presentation on Google Health was the best and most professional presentation I've ever seen. They hire pros for real.)
We're now approaching our final destination, a datacenter of the future where nothing can possi-blye go wrong.
Er, possi_bly_ go wrong. Heh, that's the first thing that's ever gone wrong.
I'm a linux sysadmin who uses osx as a client and it seems like macs just love to cache everything and then some.
I seem to run this command way to often to fix DNS and dscl lookup issues: dscacheutil -flushcache
This is a woman walking behind her husband. She is covering her face because she sees the camera and is telling her husband to slow down. He of course walks faster because she's talking again.

Last thing we need to do is inject American culture into third world countries. Once these cultures get a taste of technology, they will start consuming the same way we do, poorly. Also, once this countries start consuming, they will be buying from American companies, which is good for us (mostly the company) but will slow down manufacturing growth in said country. Please don't support OLPC for the greater good of the Earth.
You own office now right? So you don't make money switching to open office right?
And a 40-50 person office... easily. How hard can it be? Its not like you have to uninstall office to make open office work...
I found a bug in my code today that was not handling the leap year correctly (. If they screwed up like me then it should start working tomorrow. I am curious see what may happen.
I worked for UHG(united health group) as a contractor for there helpdesk. They would log our times via the phone and they would say we needed to be ready to take a phone call at 8am. Well, that means you _need_ to be there 15 minutes ahead of your start time just to get the computer going. And its not just "booting" but also getting all the applications started to take a phone call. I need to get my email going, ticket software, terminals to systems, firefox with gmail and slashdot, and many more apps. This was something we would get scolded on because the manger did nothing but look at our times that we logged in to take calls, not when we were at work.
I am glad someone stood up to these people. They are a heartless insurance company with greedy executives. Remove the overhead from the insurance companies and they could pay for all our medical needs with out all the hassle.

I just can't believe I was tricked into reading another solar eclipse article.
It's funny reading this today, because yesterday my smtp server was getting attacked by a Samsung DVR.
How else will you be able visit https://www.mozilla.org/ without a browser?
This seems to be more clickbait then anything else. How did this get onto slashdot?

Haha nope.

I've always found 2600 and blacklisted (back in the day) at B&N. This is just bizarre.

Just don't smoke before bed so you get all of your REM sleep. Best time is to smoke is after the dishes are done.
Next they will require us to make hand jesters to signal the direction were heading when exiting all elevators.
