That strategy usually gets you tagged as a kook unless you're a neocon or extreme righty. They're the only ones that get to lean on 'the good book' to defend their 'sanity.' That's how it seems to work in the US, anyway.
The parent insightfully decided that it was necessary to defend the merits of google's actions. After this insightful decision, the parent provided a wealth of informative information. Mod it however you want. In many cases either moderation fits the bill. I think this is one of them.
Funny that you mention that... Two people who work in my department are very flamboyant about having laptops (bring them to work, talk about them a lot), and both of them are backwards hicks. One of them is a huge NASCAR fan. The other one holds weekly texas hold-em games. Everyone else I can think of has a desktop.
Initially, there was string theory. After it had been around for a while, other physicists came up with other versions of the theory that conflicted with the original. I think there were around 5 different conflicting "string theories". Then, some really weird looking dude who's probably the smartest human being alive came up with a single theory that sort of united the 5 conflicting theories. He named it "M" theory, but no one calls it that. Everyone just refers to it as string theory.
Chris Morris is one of the better writers out there. He stay's pretty connected to gamers via the shacknews comments community.
This does differ from what can be done with 'a regular wired ethernet.' How many people have their wireless networks hooked up to their living room entertainment center? To be able to do something like that without 3rd party software or hardware mods is nice.
Generally, I don't put much faith in a critic's opinion. I do check out http://www.rottentomatoes.com/ for most movies that I end up seeing, but I typically use the content of the reviews to determine if a movie is to my tastes...ignoring the actual positive/negative result.
In this context, however, critics happen to be the main topic of conversation according to the story that was submitted. So, naturally, I made a reference to critics in my response.
Episodes 1 and 2 were panned pretty badly by most critics. They definitely weren't great movies... Watchable unless you're a star wars geek having your childhood memories defiled, but not much more than that....
None of that matters... They're just trying to scare people into settlements. You don't need a solid case to do that. All you need are a few expensive lawyers...
I'm willing to admit that netflix may have changed, but when I switched...things were exactly as I described. I stopped being a netflix customer before blockbuster had officially launched. I'm sure my complaints to netflix about the lack of widescreen were not the only ones, and I'm sure they've widened their selection to compete with blockbuster.
Actually, Blockbuster has a much better selection, from what I've seen; AND the movies are available in widescreen. Netflix, on the other hand limits you to panscan garbage and is missing a lot of classics. Better selection, widescreen, price, and free coupons were my reasons for switching to blockbuster. On the surface, the only reason for sticking with netflix is if you actually like panscan.
I do have a big problem with blockbuster's service, however. Many of the new releases and other popular movies on my queue are listed with wait times. This can be very frustrating.
Yes, definitely... The Doctor made Voyager almost watchable for me. Episodes featuring a healthy dose of the doctor bordered on greatness much of the time. In particular, I remember a run-in he had with a cardassian doctor hologram...
Woops... So he was. I wasn't thinking. I tried not to watch too much of the series at the beginning. Didn't enjoy it all that much until Sisco shaved his head and learned how to be cool.
Sorry to disappoint you, but the stereotype deosn't really work for all of us. I shower daily. I get a zit maybe once a month. Unfortunately, I don't floss...but I do brush twice a day. I also have an extremely hot wife and a very relaxed/open relationship. I'm very athletic, as well.
If I were speaking in public, I would probably tone down the rhetoric a notch or two...say something like, "voyager and enterprise kinda sucked, but I liked DS9 a lot." This is slashdot. We're here to have fun, right?
Filth like Voyager and Enterprise shouldn't even be mentioned in the same breath as DS9. DS9 was an great series... It got off to a slow start, but later episodes after Warf and O'Brien joined the cast were great...
You're looking at it from the wrong angle.. The moon->mars initiative is NASA's new direction. The risk is that an accident while repairing hubble could endanger that new direction. Fixing hubble would be a detour in funding and technology...a potentially costly detour considering the newly proclaimed direction of the program.
Oh... I don't know... Common sense?

Haha.. Yes, that movie was so incredibly bad that it was actually pretty good.
It definitely doesn't look like Yahoo yet, but I don't want my search site to be any more cluttered than it is now.
Fortunately, you can edit all of the clutter out of the interface, if you want to.
Microsoft has a vision of an integrated web desktop (or at least used to)... Eliminating IE would put a damper on that, to say the least.

Hope I got all that right...
To discover is to reveal to the modern scientific pool of thought...

Absolutely...

I remember a similar episode with samzenpus a couple of weeks ago. It was actually much worse...
