As soon as the Amazon MP3 Downloads Store has anywhere near the clout of the iTMS, you can be sure that the record companies will push the price of digital downloads higher and higher.
Overpriced? Not really. You get a full-fledged iPod touch included in the price. Piece of crap? Don't be ridiculous. BTW, the battery life of the iPhone is pretty damn amazing.
Why are we still buying discs? I, for one, will not get sucked into yet another "hard" media format. All the time and energy wasted on developing these dead-end formats should be put into making the content available online quickly and easily.
This all boils down to the fact that people want the iPhone. Not Nokia's "iPhone", but the real iPhone, whether it be on T-Mobile, Sprint, Verizon or any of the other networks, and they'll go to great lengths to get it. Mr. Jobs was right, it's a game changer. It's good to want.
Nokia and others will cram their "iPhone killers" full of "features" and other useless crap, but they will ALWAYS be something less than the real deal. We've seen this happen time and again with the "iPod killers" of the recent past.
"You cant blame Microsoft. This crack was a really long time coming all things considered. I guess if it was more popular somebody might have cared to crack it sooner. I still think congratulations are in order for surviving this long."
Talk about spin! Woot!
There is absolutely nothing wrong or abnormal about getting excited about something. I think it's more abnormal not to get excited about something you want or believe in, whether it be a phone, computer, car, home or finding a cure for cancer or AIDS or helping the homeless. Why limit your enthusiasm? Makes life that much more fun and exciting.
MS is beating itself these days with its own slip-ups. Plus, with all the positive news regarding Apple and its products and with Linux supplanting Windows in many areas, end users are FINALLY realizing that there are better alternatives to Windows.
Does anyone honestly believe that MS is "yawning" at the Apple-Google alliance? MS is scared sh*tless over Google. A joining of forces between Google and Apple can only server to increase their fear.
Judging from the screenshots, it appears that the "oh so talented" designers at MS have lifted the brushed aluminum look that everybody poo-pooed in Mac OS X.
Oh, and has anybody else noticed how they really went a little overboard with the Mac OS X Dashboard widget glossiness that they appropriated for WMP 11. These guys don't have an original bone in their collective bodies.
It's also quite amusing that Aero requires such hefty hardware when a Mac can handle even better looking layered graphics with a minimum of 32MB graphics memory. I know it's obvious, but I'll point it out anyway. Mac icons and windows look so much more elegant and substantial than MS's latest lame-ass attempt at eye candy on display in those screeshots.
I guess once the rip-off artists over in Redmond see Leopard this fall, they'll have to push the Vista release date back once again, because Apple is going to raise the bar even higher!
Because it sucks less.
Be prepared to be ripped-off.

Wow, isn't that great?!

...a virus. It is also not a vulnerability in the OS.
Microsoft doesn't sell computers.
"(b) those who go off on tangents totally unrelated to the subject matter."
Hmmmm. Sort of like your comment.
Learn what, exactly?
Hahahaha! If you don't like the terms, don't buy the product. There's absolutely no way Apple can lose this case!
BTW, my unadulterated iPhone is working fine!
They warned you it would happen!
I concur.
Amen to that. That is exactly what's going on.
"Your stance has absolute zero support from the consumers around the world."
What? Frankly, the vast majority of consumers really don't give a rat's a**.
The answer is simple: Read the freakin' manual!

That's what the headline should read! http://www.ilounge.com/index.php/news/comments/app le-responds-to-nbc-wont-offer-upcoming-fall-season -shows/11321

The flaw in that theory: a huge percentage of those 12-18 year olds want iPods.

Ubuntu is nowhere near as polished as OS X and has nowhere near the quality of applications available. I call BS!
DRM a pain? I agree, but wasn't it the RIAA's clients who demanded DRM'd downloads in the first place?
Yeah, whatever. One of the best selling "hypercard slideshows with some Quicktime thrown in" of all time!
Anybody remember Myst? That game was designed on, and came out for the Mac WAY before it was available on Windows. Ah, those were the days!
