    Exactly, as if people enjoying their leisurely pursuits is not having a life.
    If this is the case, the same would go for all people playing sports instead of going to bars or whatever "having a life" requires in the narrow mind of people like "theshowmecanuck"

    I do see your point about the Democrats, but you have to admit that the Republican party line currently is "Say no"
    Look at the 9/11 responders bill, that should have passed months ago.

    To me the democrats are incompetent and the republicans are evil, but I don't live in the US and am just happy that this bill finally passed.

    Well what I said is what I read many years ago, with a new mainboard they redid the test and it didn't burn out.

    Where I was working we had a guy from Intel coming over to "educate" us on some new PC's and one of the reasons he told us why Intel was better than AMD was done by showing us the first movie. My co-workers were impressed.
    I spoke up "If you had balls, you would have shown the second movie as well, since the source of that problem was in the motherboard and not in the CPU"
    Intel guy got angry and threw me an Intel T-shirt.
    My boss was quite happy though.

    Actually that Athlon thing was caused by a defective thermal diode on the Siemens mainboard, not the CPU itself.

    Heh, the one I loved best was the one where I got a mail from the sysadmin from the domain I own telling me that I downloaded illegal stuff and if I would like to report myself to the FBI (which has no jurisdiction in the Netherlands) by running the program they sent me.
    I walked to a mirror and gave my sysadmin a stern look after which he slapped my hand to punish me for my evil deeds.

    Heh this is one of the things that I had to unlearn when I went to Thailand.
    If you put away your own tray there, the staff will think that you think they did a shitty job.
    Funny how small differences in cultures make all the difference :)
