An obligatory disclaimer as an observant Jew, I can think of no one in my social or academic circles who would support or condone such a move. Sadly, the extremists ruin things for everyone.
I wonder if Comcast plans to upgrade infrastructure in TWC service areas. Friends of mine in pre-war NYC apartment buildings seem to have terrible service degradation in the evenings as more people get online.
The GOES imagery has looked really cool as of late. As I've watched the storm travel west and then north, it's been really awesome to see the progression and the effects of the Coriolis force.
these are technologies that have been proven effective when working together by people everywhere. if you put it together, test it and build a system for fail-safes etc., you should be fine!
I would go to Israel.
Problems? You bet. Worth it? For sure.
I'd go if I could be guaranteed a lifestyle comparible to one obtainable here in America. I love my countries but I do wonder sometimes...
Folks at UCSC have done similar research with this paper found on the arXiv....I remembered reading it when it first came out and it's still a pretty neat concept.
I looked at all of these models and my Motorola was more comfortable in addition to having better clarity. I would love to see some of the higher-end Motorola offerings thrown into the mix for comparison.
The question isn't whether they are the new trend but whether they should be the new trend. If vertical mice are really better and more comfortable for the user, then it absolutely should be a trend because it will help people. If, on the gripping hand, the mice are just something new and funky, then this should not be a trend.
It looks nice but I question whether it might be a positive thing to have choices in terms of look. Going from one WM to another should bring new things to the table.
This is very interesting news after Bush just got done saying how great the new patriot act is. It looks to me that our own security got lost while we were busy questioning the integrity of others. Between the roving wire-taps and the judge-less warrants, I think I deserve to know that the people taking away my information can keep it safe from others who would want to take it away.
The very act of putting holes (however small) that are not used for binding pieces of parchment to the other ones, might render a Torah unfit for use! As an observant Jew, I'd be a little bit skeptical about reading from one...
i might get modded down for this but it needs to be said.
it's not about whether robots or humans are used. it's about the hubble being a piece of crap that needs to be replaced in order for us to move forward. the hubble is obsolete because of the fact that there are cheaper and better telescope projects out there that should be initiated. some of those programs are mentioned here on/. all the time!
it's a wonder that we haven't listened to the independant experts and just thrownit out to lagrange point to work as long as it can.
i really feel like NASA needs to let this one die so we can move forward.
Or the metaphone variants? There exist a whole family of phonetic algorithms designed for just this very purpose.

I wonder if this will have any application to the delay-tolerant networking concepts for interplanetary networking done by Vint Cerf.

this video is great and, as a side note, ogg theora produces beautiful video!

this topic merits a bigger discussion! toolkits like sproutcore and objective-j are changing the game, not just blurring the lines...
Also of note for looking at metrics today: http://www.internettrafficreport.com/ http://www.internetpulse.net/
I think they made a spelling error. It's Alan M. Dershowitz

I've done three upgrades to Edgy on three different computers owned by three different people. It's worked perfectly all three times.

Check with the companies to see how big they are making LiteBrites these days....

Is there any collaboration between the Arab and Israeli communities when it comes to blogging, Free/Open Source Software or general computing?

This is actually rather funny. I only hope that the people who made the comments realize how silly/offbase/nuts they sounded.
