    Your name IS private. When there are only two parties involved, yourself and someone else, and they ask you your name, you can choose not to disclose that information. This is where aliases online became popular to help anonymize people.

    Information isn't stored on tape anymore in a blackbox. From TFA:

    Today most black boxes--the majority made by L-3 Aviation Recorders, in Sarasota, Fla.--can record 256 distinct streams of digital data, or parameters, per second, and store them all for 25 hours before writing over them. The latest voice recorders can store 180 minutes of conversation, while the older ones store 30 minutes. Both kinds of data are stored in stacked semiconductor dynamic RAM memory boards.

    I watched a documentary several years ago where policemen we're protecting a KKK march from a group of anti-KKK. Some of the policemen were black.

    I thought that was somewhat ironic but a clear manifestation of the expression: "I don't agree with what you're saying but I'll defend your right to say it".
