    Actually the real sound standard was AdLib. Before ripping of the OPL2 chip and adding a simple DAC (which even they screwed up with their own later versions of cards), all Un-Creative had was a souped-up pc-speaker 12-channel card called the Gameblaster.

    See, that's why IBM lost and Microsoft won. IBM was stupid enough to divide their OS in two while Microsoft started with a multiple of 95. The problem is, though, that Microsoft lost their train of thought and are back at OS * 7, but still.

    Damn SMS and IM is killing all languages all over the planet. And don't tell me that "languages evolve", this is de-evolution. Just because words sound the same when spoken aloud doesn't mean they describe the same thing. Example: too != to != two, etc.

    Which is why I would soooo like for a company to have balls and release a first-person shooter on Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, Xbox 360, Wii and PS3, all able to play in the same games.

    We'd make the console players cry, a lot. Having played Metroid Prime 3, I do think the Wii players could potentially be dangerous though.

    Not really since today's rate was 20 U.S. dollars = 21.6840012 Canadian dollars. ;)

    Anyway I'm also Canadian, so he was willing to pay 5$CAD more than me, which is completely insane!

    Doesn't the saying goes something like "The harder you squeeze, the more will slip through your fingers..."?

    So yes, in theory is will make people more likely to stay with Google. No fear of being locked means you don't look for a way out, which is a problem for Microsoft right now.
