They should focus on e-ink tablets instead of trying to compete with Apple. Because if you're not Apple, then you're competing with everybody else on the price tag. And low-cost Android tablets are already available for under 100$ and I don't think Amazon can beat companies like Coby on pricing.
What we need is the next step, color e-ink Kindles. I they can keep wi-fi and the Webkit browser in the new e-ink Kindles, it's a plus. It makes a very nice low-power and long battery life portable browser.
It would have taken far less time for one author to write a short one-sentence description than for hundreds of readers to go read the first paragraph of the Wikipedia page.
This is where emulators such as MAME come in handy. It may be hard to re-create some specialized interfaces such as the Intellivision controller, but believe me, that's no loss in most cases.

The goal should be the preservation of the code AND the artwork that goes along with it. Boxes, carts labels, discs overlays, posters, manuals, etc.
Otherwise, you're going to miss historic details like the extremely crappy artwork of the North-American release of Mega Man.
