Slackware tends to work the same way, although i kinda treat my slackware box like a Gentoo one...but it generally tolerates standard sources better than RPM or DEB based binary distros.
Because 15 years of market dominance is driven by hundreds and hundreds of crappy games, right? I mean, it was that sweet dot-matrix display that drove the original gameboy into our hearts and road trips...
First off, the summary (didn't RTFA) never said they were forced to play. Second of all, it's a hell of a lot more usefull than some of the crap i learned in grammer school.
although the wavebird was not a wifi controller, it is technically possible to put an embedded processor a controller with a real wifi stack. It would be very expensive, and a bad idea, but it's possible.
Tetris attack is one of the greatest puzzle games of all time, in fact Meteos draws a lot of inspiration from it. I don't believe it has the "cult" status that you think it does though, anyone worth their salt in the puzzle genre has heard of it.
Hell, the Xbox controller IS usb (just a different shape port), it'd probably be real easy to hack on a usb plug with about 5 minutes and some electrical tape (or solder if you wanna do it right).

I actually like the texture of the dual shock stick better than the n64 one. Feels better on my thumb...i agree about the guide indentations though
Sim-ant too
better than a collapsable stock, how about a full size rifle with a slot to stick the controller into, connecting to the "Numchuck" port.

Are you 12? The 5 1/2 inch floppy was incredibly small compared to the old 8 inchers, and there were bigger ones before that.
Read the article, they ran over the friggin thing with a car. It's durable.
