And any homicide conviction would carry the death by slow torture penalty, it would be the only penalty that would suit the crime!
If you were being serious about that statement your stupidity is showing. Hydrogen is less explosive than gasoline, and unless you can heat it to a temperature of a few million degrees or so you won't see hydrogen exploding like at bikini atol. BTW most of the people who died on the Hindenburg were burned by DIESEL FUEL, not hydrogen! (or they were killed by the sudden stop at then end of a fall).

Cell phones aren't the only devices using Li Ion batteries. Many new laptop and handheld computers as well as digicams also use them. Why havn't we heard reports of exploding cameras and computers? Could the microwave rf emitted by cellphones be cooking the batteries?
My last position was a contract one (with a former employer). They paid me through an agency, which made me an employee of the agency. This has at least three advantages for me, 1: taxes, I don't have to take care of my own, especially FICA. 2: some agencies offer some form of health insurance for their employees, some even offer vacation pay. In my case they had both, but the health insurance wasn't very good (at least it was cheap). 3: When my contract would be up I could collect unemployment off the agency. Of course they could contest it (their policy was that if they couldn't find you another gig after your contract was up, they would not contest it, but you had to report to them by phone once a week to check). I lucked out and found a full time job on my own that picked up the day my contact expired.
While the technology could be used to track where a document came from, in it's most simplest form it identifies the document AS A COPY. That is actually enough, as it makes 'funny money' created on a laser printer unusable as the real thing, if you know where to look. That is probably a GOOD thing.
Actually nuvistors filled a need that transistors couldn't at the time for a low noise vhf-uhf amplifier in tv set front ends. Nuvistors also ended up in critical military and commerical applications. My TEK 453 scope has several in the front end of it's vertical amp chain.
OK 1/2 meter isn't thin compared to plasma or lcd but it IS thin compared to conventional crt monitors and equal to or better than most rear projection sets. CRT's have better contrast ratios than almost all other technologies, low burn-in (eat that plasma!) and very good brightness levels. They can't reach the screen sizes of the other technologies, the largest crt ever to reach consumers was 40" in 4:3 and 34" in 16:9. The thinner tubes will enclose less vacuum and therefore can use somewhat thinner glass, so maybe we might even see 16:9 screen sizes of 42" in these (but they won't be light weight!) I love my mitsubishi 40" tube, I would love a 42" 16:9 version of it even more. Maybe this new technology will make that possible.

The diode could only rectify AC current to DC, the triode could amplify weak signals, and switch current. It would later give rise to radio, television and computers. This stroke of genius finally put Edison's discovery of thermionic emission to practical use.

The market for digicams won't be eaten up by cell phones. It's like comparing an instamatic pos camera with a Nikon F4. Cellphones have low res webcams built in, not much more.
Apple and Real should cross License each others formats and bury the hatchet. In the long run it will help the bottom line of both companies and their customers (remember them?) will be the winners. The other option, well how about one of those decals for the back of your pickup truck with Calvin pissing on an Ipod?
Socket 754 is an ATHLON-64 socket. The Sempron is NOT a 64 bit cpu, it is a 32 bit cpu using the 'hammer' bus. So it is sorta a cut down Athlon-64 rather than a cut down Athlon.
Put it another way, buy an Athlon64 MB and put an Athlon 32 cpu in it. WHY?
I worked for DEC in the late 70's so I can comment on this one:
DEC's RK02 and RK03 disk drives were side loading cartridge drives that were OEM versions of third party drives. But DEC added their own electronics and changed the formating. It WAS possible to use the third party drives, with some user installed mods. The DEC RK05 disk drive was built from the ground up by DEC. It was a vastly improved version of the OEM drive (IE: voice coil head movement vs stepper motor). The RK05 DID use the same heads, and cartridge though it doubled the capacity. The RK05D doubled the capacity again.
DEC's RL01 and RL02 were top loading drives based on a third party drive. These used some of the parts from that drive, but most of the design was totally DEC's
The DEC designed drives were almost always vastly improved over the original units, had increased capacity, and better performance. What DEC did was to avoid re-inventing the wheel, they just improved it.
