  1. Solar Cabin on Standby Electronics a Waste? · · Score: 1

You would be surprised how small a system you realy need.
Been looking into it for a while now for a cottage...or rural home.
you can start a system small and scale it up as needed.
from what i understand the only thing thats not realy scalable is the battery bank. unless its done in a short time in six months or less.

    My 2 watts

  4. Re:Bring it on! ..Disks are spinning on New RIAA/MPAA "Customary Historic Use" Plan · · Score: 1

I can see that happaning with the Indie artists. The CIRA up here is saying there losing sales.
    Indie artists are up.

Im starting doing a lot of recording at home in a room.... preped for recording music.
there is a lot of good equipment out there and the stuff ive recorded for others and then played back for other people are amazed at the over all sound ive got... but i want better recording equipment and more mics....(looking at about 3 k worth) its time for the Indie artists to kick some butt.
I priced a cd pressing i can get it done for 1.25 Canadian jewel case 4 colour artwork ect.
    based on 1000
Makes me wonder why i should pay 20 dollars or more.......theres lots of good talent.
now the Net, word of mouth and passing around files that you want everyone to here.

All i ask is respect the artists pay the price when there useing the Net to advertize.
and pay that 10 dollars after the show. You will keep the indie artists makeing the music you will love.

    Just my 2 cents.

Some of the subway stations in Toronto use LOUD classical music for the same purpose. keeps the younger kids from hanging out at the station. But also I can see them not liking the style at all, because of this.... Think this puts classical music in a negative way. you can like it or not. but it should not be used like this.

"As far as the police use of DNA goes - I live in Illinois, where we have the death penalty, but it is so broken that we've had several people on death row exonerated after their cases were reviewed and DNA evidence was admitted. There is also evidence we may have actually executed innocent people - the state doesn't re-open cases where the convict has already been executed. Frankly, mass DNA testing would not only solve a lot of crimes, but prevent gross miscarriages of justice. More data would mean better prosecutions....."

they should reopen the case the reasone they don't they dont want to reveil how broken the system is and how wrong the Death penelty is so wrong.(exacute the wrong person how do you tell the family we fucked up)...so instead the real murder walks free that is the worst part and he/she will kill again.....
