Because people who are using the term beta "traditionally" are being subject to the expectations that Google product users that their work will be of the same quality as Google's betas... when In reality, I think we can say that most of Google's beta stuff is a fine product already.
I've got FF2 tricked out fairly extremely. At least ten of my addons in use didn't work with FF3 (when it was released at least), and some of those never will without someone else rewriting them (i.e. abandoned). There are also various GUI/display modifications that didn't covert to FF3 well/at all either.
Maybe someday I'll find the time to look real hard into how various css hacks were done and try redoing them for FF3...
My biggest bitching point currently is the lack of column bookmarks (My first columns-worth is all folders...). Even Netscape or some other old browser had these.
And don't buy a 9v rechargeable at Radioshaft... $14 9v I have from there is larger (physically), and of lower capacity than a cheaper one from elsewhere. Both NiMH.
Read their support forums... you'll find quite a few people have problems with connectivity of some of their products (if not all... I've mostly only checked mice)... and that Logitech has never fixed these problems, and they appear in new products too.
My personal experience of problems has been with the V270 bluetooth mouse, and the exact same problem is reported with the newer V470. I also have a DiNovo MediaPad (bluetooth numpad, with a small LCD display)... it doen't get used much, but I don't think I've had problems with it. The bluetooth items are otherwise great, of course.

As for furnishings? Maybe that's something the kid will know themselves. I'm 20, and it's really only in the past few years that I've started salvaging stuff from broken stuff (saving that stuff from being thrown out, of course) and building cool stuff...
So *give your kid the broken stuff in the basement for his birthday*... cd player/radio boombox, VCR, electric blender, broken plastic containers for raw material...
What about torrents with multiple parts? Is "completed" sent with each part, or after the user-determined wanted parts are all complete, or only if every single part is complete?
One does *not* currently try to break up generation into smaller parts for nuclear reactors...
For nuclear, the economics of initial construction and design requirements make much more sense to do huge reactors. A reactor has to have huge amounts of shielding for protection in case of mishap (it's mostly not for the regular reaction from the core). We're talking shells of concrete several feet thick. And steel too. It's cheaper the larger your volume/power ratio and such is.
None of the reactors listed here are below 1 MW of electric power.

I failed to mention that I use this. If you read the comments, you'll see that this is not FF3 compatible. Thus my complaint.
Unsurprisingly. Hence the quotes. What's yours?
"Column bookmarks"? What exactly do you mean by that? Ctrl-B opens the bookmark sidebar, and the bookmarks menu works like it always has.
Multiple columns... pretty much just like Windows Start Menu.

"Power-user"-friendly upgrades plz.
Black Hats and White Hats?
I think this is definitely a Red Hat problem.
Battery capacity is limited... so indeed efficiency of electrical systems is something to strive for.
Efficiency of the solar cells, however, is not limited. The more money, the better you can get.
2005, not 1995... UM won the Sunrayce in 91 and 93, iirc. 95 and 03 were our problem cars.
I still don't understand:
Why ICANN no haz .XXX?

Actually, we don't have that much plutonium on hand for NASA's use.

Do we even want to know what happened to your other neighbors?
:)
I'm not implying anything, oh no, definitely not.
So on a 6bit monitor, would I see those stripes on all gradients?
Your explanation was good and clear for understanding how the number of colors is calculated; thanks.
Or if you're a haxxor, fix slashdot. I want my pink ponies!
OMG.
Nuclear reactors have a lot of waste heat. Might as well use that heat directly for desalination, rather than using the generated electricity.
Not that I've ever bothered to look at how modern desalination is accomplished.
You're looking at the wrong graph.
Energy usage != Electricity usage
Try this one, small though it is.
Whoops, thanks for that :)

In fact, I don't believe any US nuclear power plant has more than three reactors on one site.
Of course I don't assume that everything's revealed. I religiously follow my RSS feed for Brawl. :)
Currently there are 24 known characters for SSBB. Previous game had 25. [/nitpick]
For some reason I seemed to be thinking it was coming out in March anyways... I still need to preorder a copy if/when that's possible.
