18th hour? You mean 2 hours after you would normally go to sleep if you slept an average of 8 hours a night. Or the normal end of the day for most people who usually get 6 hours a night.
The reality TV aspect of the the Hunger Games doesn't really appear to be that hugely important, at least in what I've read so far [book 1 and half of book 2]. While the games may be looked at as entertainment for some, it's stated early on that the main reason for the games is as a form of punishment for a rebellion years before. It's a form of social control, a pure display of power by the capital. The game makers want the games to be entertaining, 1) because the capital likes entertaining games and 2) because the districts are forced to watch their children get slaughtered and it's more torturous this way.
There's a major theme about keeping up appearances for the audience and playing a somewhat assigned role, but that's not just a reality TV mechanic, that's just life.
My prediction is that 10.10 will remove the ability to run unsigned content (after all, it's free to get a signing key.) And 10.11 will probably require all precompiled applications to be acquired through the App store (except on the Server version of the OS, for which the option to run unsigned binaries will almost certainly remain.) 10.9 will keep the defaults, as it will take some time to get a critical mass of non-App store developers signing their work.
That'll make my life as a software developer a living hell. Kinda throws off the automatic background compilation stuff Eclipse does, and the whole rapid prototyping I do in Python with interactive shells.
I'm not sure that's exactly what they're going for.
Funnier yet, they still have to pay $50 plus whatever their service provider wants for streaming over a stupid damn phone anyway.
Huh? This device has nothing to do with phones. It's software that goes on a windows machine that happens to be packaged on a USB stick that's branded as Apple iPad6 TV.
On another note, I'm beginning to associate the "Pssh, I not own a smartphone" crowd with the "Oh sorry, I don't own a TV" crowd. It's fine either way [with / without a TV / smartphone], but it doesn't make you superior in any way, and you don't need to go out of your way to make people know.
It is an probably an issue, but I'm not a biologist, geneticist, or anything related to medicine.
What I do know is that females are far more likely to be chimera than males, and autoimmune disorders are far more prevalent in females than males. It seems likely that there's something going on there.
Vimperator. It's a great plugin for Firefox that adds Vim keybindings. But more that that, it greatly cleans up the UI. No Navigation bar [though that can be reenabled], Bookmarks bar, etc.
Can you find me a study showing that even after 1 or 2 overwrites that a professional can retrieve the data? NISPOM now states that for fixed magnetic media, the clear method is " Overwrite all addressable locations with a single character." while the sanitation method is "Degauss with Type I, II, or III degausser."
It's also the area where breakthroughs occur, though this is not to say that Wolfram is an example of this. Multidisciplinary geniuses, Richard Feynman for example, make contributions to a range of fields outside their primary domain.

Ada had the ability to specify valid ranges for variable.

We are there, have been for a few years. Take a look at handheld RAMAN Spectographers. Thermo Scientific [ formerly Ahura ] makes some: http://www.ahurascientific.com/chemical-explosives-id/index.php

Sentinel objects? Default NO-OP objects?
How many unique chunks does it take to represent all of the data they're syncing
2MB = ~ 2^2048000 possibly combinations, which is a pretty huge fucking number of unique chunks.
24 hours == 8 weeks of a 3x per week course. That's a reasonable amount of time to learn something.
Feedly?

How's the performance of Kubuntu on the Transformer? What works and doesn't work?
Not even close.

Mind you, that's not for classified materials, classified still requires some type of physical destruction.

I always thought of it as "Cutie", as in URAQTLN.
Don't worry the feeling will come back, trust me.
Edit: Documents are *not* shredded one by one.
Documents are shredded one by one, a bag full of shredded materials might have hundreds of pages in it, each cross-shredded uniformly.
Using the default firmware, have you been able to use the web interface with Firefox or Chrome? I can only seem to get it to work with Opera.

How do you specify what books your donations should go towards purchasing?
