Kind of, but it is a true search - that is, it will show results that don't necessarily start with what was typed, e.g. "Word" will find "Microsoft Office Word 2007", as well as other things that are not executables, like documents, web bookmarks, and control panels.
Indeed, in fact for this exact purpose - that is, using the keyboard to the exclusion of the mouse - putting the cursor in the search bar upon pressing the Windows key is a massive improvement. Microsoft makes a lot of stupid design choices but they always seemed to have placed keyboard usability at a relatively high priority.
That's a fair question. The Supreme Court upheld FCC regulation because of the nature of radio waves, actually. They found it significant that, unlike books, newspapers, movies, etc., radio waves would penetrate into your home and be available inside whether you wanted them to or not. It was the fact that radio waves cannot be barred from entering your private domain (short of living in a Faraday cage) that they thought the FCC should be allowed to regulate content, because unlike with other speech you can't just say "no." That's why cable and internet, for example, are not covered by FCC content rules, because you have to intentionally bring them into your home.
Also, please note that "pornography" that can be outlawed is not just "anything with nudity." It specifically sexually explicit material, for solely prurient purposes, with no social or artistic merit.
At one time in the Earth's history it was completely molten. I'd venture to say it was hotter then than now. Are you confusing Earth's history with human history? You're not a YEC, are you?
Hmmm, I might be wrong but I don't believe "premium" blends contain any less ethanol. The ethanol percentage is a legal mandate for automotive fuel. If you live in an ethanol area and want pure gasoline, your only real choice is to buy marine fuel.
Isn't the difference that the 2D drawing calls that the websites are an API abstraction provided by the browser? This allows some sandboxing and sanity checking. WebGL essentially lets web code run directly on bare metal. It's NOT abstracted.
Flash and Silverlight are both plugins. They are not compiled directly into the browser. You might say it's a distinction without a difference, but I don't think it's an unreasonable distinction to make.
Left click = run forward Right click = run backward Click Wheel = Alt fire Thumb button = Main fire Thumb button 2 = Reload
The strafe and other keys remained on the keyboard. What I liked about this is that I could play most of the game with just one hand, and it makes circle strafing a bit less cumbersome. The disadvantage is that firing accurately is a little trickier because of the tendency to move the mouse when pressing the fire button. Ultimately I don't use it much any more, particularly it's so dependent on a compliant mouse.
Yup. You could do the same thing in Windows by simply changing the Guest account's shell to $browser.exe; in fact, with fast user switching it wouldn't even require a reboot. That this is some kind of exciting new feature is a triumph of Apple marketing.
Or, instead of an expensive game system, an HD television set, and four pricey touch-screen controllers, you could just buy Scrabble for $14.99. Bonus: it's portable and doesn't require batteries.
Really? I never you could recover from a kernel panic by switching to a terminal and restarting X! Mod parent INFORMATIVE!!!++ Thank you so much!!
It's called perfboard, you can buy it at Radio Shack ffs.
How is that possible? "Programs" are always listed in the search results above "Documents," so calc.exe should always come before calculon.jpg.

Whoosh?
That whole "continue selling" thing is the issue though.
Is a Sea Ray like a C-Beam? They're so glittery.
Great! So now instead of the browser user (or OS user) needing to purchase a license, every website does!

Uh oh.

Then only outlaws will have hacking tools
QED
At some point I got in the habit of using:
Left click = run forward
Right click = run backward
Click Wheel = Alt fire
Thumb button = Main fire
Thumb button 2 = Reload

Otherwise it can precipitate the worst disasters imaginable.
No, not really. Disasters? Yes, there is always a small chance. The worst disasters imaginable? Not even close.
And yet here it is on the Slashdot front page.

They are citizens too...
All citizens are equal, but...well, you know the rest.

Well, frankly, I really don't give a damn what pisses off Apple, Inc. I'm slightly more concerned with my loss of first sale rights.
This is the default in newer versions of Windows, as well.
And of course, if there are no killer tornados next year, that only proves that it's "complicated."
