    A PC is entirely different from a small device, where screen size, resources, input, and features are dramatically limited and vary widely from device to device. Android is everyone's wish that they were the same; but the reality is that they are not. IMO, Google should have put out stricter guidelines across the board for their platform, because they're making the same stupid mistake Microsoft made with Windows Mobile (Pocket PC back in the day).

    You have to think of this from the American perspective: anyone who isn't American doesn't really count. Once California legalizes pot, other states will follow, because as weird as Californians are, they are still American, and if they can do it we all can.

    Try buying a different color. I buy daylight/cool blue and love how my house isn't infected with that nasty yellow color of regular CFLs and incandescents. Other people think my house looks like a hospital.

    A common misconception. Mandriva has always supported both KDE and Gnome. And it's always been better than every other distro at providing choice, ease of use, and development packages.

    Hopefully if this Mageia thing takes off I can easily switch RPM repositories. Otherwise I suppose my installation is in jeopardy if Mandriva doesn't spring back up to its former glory.

    If you check the Obameter, you'll find he's not doing too shabby on most of the promises he made. I think he just realized that government transparency just isn't that simple, or some very powerful people shut down that 'openness' initiative, or both.

    Chrome does not support the HTTPS Everywhere extension. Once it does, I may switch. But privacy is my first concern when using the web.

    Many times, antidepressants will give people motivation before relieving the anxiety or depression. Thus, if someone is going to become suicidal, it's usually within 2 weeks of starting an antidepressant. Not that this factoid has anything to do with shrimp... just sayin'.

    For electronic medical records, gender is especially important for obvious reasons, but there are people who want it to be male, female, and a variety of mixes. Usually systems only implement "Unknown" as a third gender because it's just an edge case. But there are people out there who get offended by that. Mostly in California.
