I am not that familiar with port knocking, but what if multiple attempts from the same IP are made to access the port at the same time, Would the knocks then get all mixed up?
Dell has no stores either and they are doing very well. Recently, it was noted in the news that Dell was way above its 60 billion dolloar revenue estimates.
Maybe this will help Gateway get back in the mainstream.
For the past three years in college I've been trained to hate microsoft. I did mainly Java stuff. I was offered a job as a Microsoft Access developer. Since I have been looking for a job for a while, it looks like I will accept it.
But since I never really learned VB in college, I was forced to learn it now.
So when I first opened the VB book, it felt so weird to me learning Microsoft. All of it was "click this" and "click that". I am used to writing code not drag and drop.
Great now I will be able to order beer and hotdogs from my seat through my wi-fi connection.
I wonder how this will affect the game. Imagine Barry Bonds steps up to the plate and smacks one out and there are no cheers. Just a bunch of freebies who came to the park to download music and movies.
CSS is very useful for web design. However, no matter how good, if IE and Netscape create their own CSS extensions, then CSS won?t be utilized to its full extent.
It's a shame that these big companies don't conform to standards. Standards are what make the internet work.
This will hurt Yahoo a lot more than it will hurt Google
Although that may be true, but the point is that google is getting ready to issue an IPO. Losing a big contract, such as yahoo, may hurt their earnings and as a result may scare some potential IPO buyers.
The fact is that google spamming is annoying. When I was searching for a template for a "Job Interview Thank You Letter", using google, of the first 20 results 15 of them were links for the same site.
It has to be stopped somehow and I am glad google is taking this initiative.
Google is not a marketing tool but merely a search engine!
This whole thing sounds kind of silly. However, those who came up with the Master/Slave name should have thought about its implications. Why couldn't they use something like Primary/Secondary?
Opera has a feature that opens only requested pop-up ads. I am not that familiar with JavaScript, however, I was thinking of the following option for pop-up advertisers. Why not have a CSS for all links () that in addition to going to wherever the link points to, it also opens a pop-up window. In this case it is a requested pop-up window and, I am assuming that, it will open under those settings in opera (and perhaps in other spam blocking software).
Hubble's life should have ended a while ago, but nasa keeps on extending it.

I also was not able to access slashdot
Slashdot was slashdotted
If Yahoo, AOL, and MSN can't stop trillian, then how would the court stop them?
How about reinventing WINDOWS with circle windows.
Maybe this will help Gateway get back in the mainstream.
What does gateway sell? Cows?
Back to the barn. Moo

Going Going Gone... (the cheers)
I'm still waiting for my first.
File-Sharing != Threat to Music Sales
The RIAA just doesn't get it.
In Linux we trust!

Forget about the confidentiality of the spammer's name. I'm wondering how AOL has the rights to confiscate his/her car to begin with.

Imagine searching for "google" or "linux" and a minute later your important files are missing.

The point is, they should have chosen a different term rather than Master/Slave.

Just a thought...
