  1. Hubble on NASA Extends Rover Occupation of Mars · · Score: 0
Looks like a clone of the Hubble.

Hubble's life should have ended a while ago, but nasa keeps on extending it.

Maybe this will help Gateway get back in the mainstream.

  9. Move from Java to VB on The Worst Development Job You've Ever Had? · · Score: 0
For the past three years in college I've been trained to hate microsoft. I did mainly Java stuff. I was offered a job as a Microsoft Access developer. Since I have been looking for a job for a while, it looks like I will accept it.

But since I never really learned VB in college, I was forced to learn it now.
So when I first opened the VB book, it felt so weird to me learning Microsoft. All of it was "click this" and "click that". I am used to writing code not drag and drop.

Great now I will be able to order beer and hotdogs from my seat through my wi-fi connection.

CSS is very useful for web design. However, no matter how good, if IE and Netscape create their own CSS extensions, then CSS won?t be utilized to its full extent.

It's a shame that these big companies don't conform to standards. Standards are what make the internet work.

Although that may be true, but the point is that google is getting ready to issue an IPO. Losing a big contract, such as yahoo, may hurt their earnings and as a result may scare some potential IPO buyers.

The fact is that google spamming is annoying. When I was searching for a template for a "Job Interview Thank You Letter", using google, of the first 20 results 15 of them were links for the same site. It has to be stopped somehow and I am glad google is taking this initiative.

Google is not a marketing tool but merely a search engine!

  22. Why Master/Slave name? on L.A. County Bans Use Of "Master/Slave" Term · · Score: 1

  23. Opening requested pop-ups only on IE To Block Pop-Ups · · Score: 1
Opera has a feature that opens only requested pop-up ads. I am not that familiar with JavaScript, however, I was thinking of the following option for pop-up advertisers. Why not have a CSS for all links () that in addition to going to wherever the link points to, it also opens a pop-up window. In this case it is a requested pop-up window and, I am assuming that, it will open under those settings in opera (and perhaps in other spam blocking software).

    Just a thought...
