I saw this in college over 10 years ago and it's sad, these students are cheating themselves out of an educations they paid for. It's particularly sad when you see this type of IT grad in the field and they don't understand the underpinnings of the basics let alone more complex concepts that require a brain ready to learn things that weren't taught or copied.
You aren't cheating the system, you are cheating yourself.
Despite tensions, the worlds largest search engine is NOT getting kicked out of the worlds largest internet using country. The implications of which involve tech, politics, freedom of speech...
If that's not Nerd News I don't know what is.
If you're hungry for interesting stuff that doesn't make the front page take a drink from the Firehose. http://slashdot.org/firehose.pl
Generally I respect what you have to say but this post you're off your nut.
A, B & C: The Humble Indie Bundle hit 1 million sales on May 11th and to my knowledge has not been ported outside the realm of PC gaming. I won't mention the annual behemoth WoW, EVE Online or the confusing amount of pre-orders for Starcraft II.
Regarding finding people to play games with, well that is a matter of who your friends are. I only know one or two people interested in console gaming and have extreme difficulty finding people to play games with. Conversely, every Monday is either L4D2 or TF2 night for me and half a dozen others, like clockwork.
I enjoy both PC and console gaming but I often find myself behind the keyboard rather than the controller (which, I can also plug into my PC if I want to play ported console games which, confoundedly, is not true the other way around...) so to hear someone say that PC gaming was "dead" was baffling and irritating.
There are some games that will never, EVER get a re-release so the only way I can ensure I enjoy something for years to come is to actually buy the damn thing and keep it.
So far the only thing that has foiled this is theft...
I was a long time advocate of Firefox until 3.x. I don't know if it's the fact that websites are more heavily scripted than before or if Firefox is just getting slower (or both!) but c'mon guys! Speed is key.
Imagine Baidu building a search engine for various regions where censorship is desired. They'd certainly corner the market on oppressing information (if that's profitable I don't know).
I like Twitter because it's an easy way for me and my developer friends to share transient tidbits like new tools, quick questions and interesting links.
I don't follow people who use it as a journal and I don't really concern myself with those who follow me.
I don't see why more IT people use it this way. It beats sending e-mail or trying to maintain contacts via multiple IM networks (some of which are blocked by various employers).
All I care about is why that footage hasn't really been all that well explained by the military.
I want to see and hear both sides on this obviously, but pointing out the motivation as hubris at this point is sort of the smaller part of a bigger picture.

The good news is you have a healthy shiny coat, the bad news... worms.
Every student sample dog saliva!!
In a word? Jaggies
You could live in a lean-to or a sod house or a log cabin might also work, depending on what you are using for fasteners.
Or didja mean within City limits that may enforce certain structural requirements beyond your control?
They still made a million bucks more than I got. As for Blizzard, I think it's not so much anti-console it's more consoles are anti-keyboard.
Look, I love console games and they are doin' great, but it's not as if PC gaming has limped into a corner and died.

Well it's not going to help tourism if we don't know what rocks we can and cannot breathe via "State rock" designation!
How would they categorize radiation! The opposite of a shovel... is a shovel!
All joking aside the California state rock should be foam spray painted to look like rock until it bounces off of Captain Kirk's head. MOVIE MAGIC!
Either that or whatever rock is most commonly found in Bronson Canyon.
Isn't ALL rock hazardous to your health if you breathe it?
"Comeback"? Did it go somewhere while I was playing all these awesome PC games?

Oh boy! Another crappy search engine, this time with incomplete results on purpose! Whoopee!!
Two missing items from the Policy:
Finally there will be porn on the internet.
Took them long enough!
...in the USA.
Call me when it's available in Canada :-)
No kidding, talk about turning up the heat on the pressure cooker.
Is this what thousands of Chinese died for?

They say there are important bits of the video missing, great! I'm willing to believe that, show it to me!
But so far? Nada.

There are a lot of crap comments so far but I know I'd like to say to those involved that this is an outstanding find, way to go!
I was heading to Drumheller later this summer anyway but I should see what kind of stuff they might have open to the public now.
Awesome stuff!
Ye gads! Now we know where all the seeders for Electronic Sheep come from.
