    He's just mad his Dell DJ is getting smoked by the iPod and iPod mini so he attacks an Apple Ad thats no longer in circulation.

    He's also mad becuase HP went with Apple and not them and now HP will have it's own branded iPod.

    I've got a BS in CIS and I'm tired of seeing nothing but contract jobs in IT. None of them have been contract to hire but freaking short term and with all contracts you normally come out with less money then say normal perm. job.

    Give me a perm. job and less contract freakin' jobs. Short term BS! No one here is sending their workforce overseas so I could careless about that...they are just all contracting out!!

    Now I'm considering going back to school to learn about a trade, like working on cars and such..because it sucks not having a work and all you can look forward to is another damn short term BS contract job.

    Well lets say in 4 yrs I want to sell my iPod. Well first thing I would do is reformat the damn thing. This way your only selling the iPod. If you want to sell CD's..just make a mix CDR and sell them for $5-8 bucks a pop. Most folks do this now.

    According to the RIAA CD's will die out in say the next 5-8 yrs...so your CD collection might end up being worthless or very secondhand. Only good albums will keep up their resale value...while others burn in the great CD heaven.

    The NSA has been doing this for yr's. For about a couple grand I can get all your banking info and so forth..from a local data miner or I can do it myself.

    What is privacy? Your privacy ends once you open your mouth and speak. Your privacy ends once you post something on the net.

    Want privacy think for yourself and shutup and listen and move on.

    It was 70% not 75% and that # was based of #'s from Dec. The number drops when more on-line services enter into the market. Wal-Mart, Best Buy and few others just entered into the market last month...so yeah the #'s would be different and lower.

    How am I stuck with ACC? I can always make them into MP3's if I want. The iPod plays everything except VO and WMA...big deal. 90% of all my songs on my iPod are MP3's not ACC...but ACC sounds better at the same bit rate compared to any MP3 or WMA I've ever heard.

    iTMS should have sold around 40-50+ million songs by the end of this month.

    I know while I was in the OS for Comanche failed atleast 5 times. The OS was redesigned over and over again.

    The helo was fine according my friends in the project.

    The chopper was intended for stealth recon. It was like a Stealth Fighter but with a special rotor that made almost no sound at all.

    When the OS crapped-out the helo usually crashed landed or crashed and killed the test pilots. The centralized processing architecture with Ada software never worked quite right.

    I was in the Army and we were demoing OS X PB's out in the field. This was state side. FBI uses OS X since thats where our PB's came from. Air Force was using them at Langley.

    BellSouth Mobility + SBC = Cingular Cingular + AT&T = ? A better service. A service Verizon can't give to me in the South East. AT&T wireless and Verizon are still dead spot havens here. But AT&T with access to the Cingular network will improve Cingular's network range and AT&T's. Cingular and Nextel are the only cell's that really sell here.

    I'm willing to bet Jobs will join forces with Comcast to take back Disney from M.E. or Fox News said today Pixar could get the money to do buyout of Disney. Either way Eisner is on his way out.

    Get over it. The NSA and CIA and few other agencies have been doing this a lot longer then the FBI I'm speaking from counterintelligence. perspective of the US Army. I can get all banking data I want from local PI's around here. I can get all your banking data myself using my CI background.

    According to Apples Xserve Tech Overview the G5 Xserve sports a 90nm processor vs the current 130nm in the G5 Power Macs

    It also uses the hyper-transport protocol which alot X86 users use to say gave Intel and AMD the advantage they had.

    I have feeling the new 90nm dual 2.0GHz G5 will give out better #'s then the current 130nm dual 2.0GHz G5.

    I'll be buying my iPod mini in about 3 months or so...I want that silver one. I already own the 40GB but I need a iPod I can strap to my arm and go workout with.

    Seems like this crack can be patched.

    I doubt Apple will call DVDJohn but I bet the RIAA will.

    iPod sales have increased 140% over last yr and are anticipated to increase even more this yr. Powerbook sales have increased by 40% and PowerMac sales have improved by 30%. Mac sales are rising and won't be slowing down anytime soon with new G5 lineups coming this yr which includes hitting 3GHz and beyond and Xserve servers and Powerbooks. In about 5 days we will see the cheap iPod introduce which will just mean more sales for Apple and almost complete dominance in this sector of the market.

    When in regard to the music stores arriving properly he was talking about to the rest of the world not just the US. Apple is set to release stores for Europe, Japan, Australia, and Canada sometime this yr.

    Most iPods over this holiday season wasn't bought by the Mac people but by Wintel people. Apple will have cheap iPod in about 5 days from now. It is the return of the Mac because sales have shown a 40% increase in sales of Mac's which is pretty good considering PC sales have slowed but Mac sales continue to rise. They will rise even more when the G5 hit 3+Ghz mid yr.

    Most people want MP3 player that can hold more then hr or two worth of music. Main reason Apple will introduce the mini-iPod at $100-200 bucks in 2GB and 4GB range.
