  1. Re:Been there, Done that on Testing Einstein's 'Spooky Action at a Distance' · · Score: 1

I doubt this will actually end up changing the pattern in the past (i.e. measuring/detecting a photon after its entangled counterpart has already hit the wall) but near-instantaneous communication would be great. I had this same idea when I read the relevant chapter of Brian Greene's The Fabric of the Cosmos, and was really surprised that no experiments dealing with this have been made before. Seemed common sense to me, and I'm no physicist.

You'd make a great terrorist. That's exactly the same line of thinking they follow when they blow up marketplaces and mosques of opposing sects.

I'm pretty sure those skinsuits were said to be liquid, not energy. Unless of course they're liquid energy.... Anyway, if you're still talking about FORCE assault rifles and Hawking-Drive starships, I'm guessing you haven't read the two Endymion books. Personally I'd settle for one of the suits and a drop of Aenea's blood, and if I had to choose just one it would definitely be the latter.

Huh? Turnover? What's that about? I thought the issue was about card counting. As soon as a casino realizes that a blackjack player is a card counter, he's going to be banned from playing. Note that card counting is not cheating and is perfectly legal - the casino is merely executing their right to refuse service to anyone they want for any reason that doesn't conflict with non-discrimination laws.

To me, "without doing anything" means idle. Where exactly do these 500W go?
