It might sound stupid, but from how you explained, it, any 3d game online would fall under this. If that is the case, what about Duke 3D and Quake 1, they are 3d, multiplayer, and your in a gaming world, and when you have 16-24 players in a game it would meet most if not all of the items in the patent ?
I would expect that in the early games, that it would of transmitted the characters position to the server (i know everquest 1 did for that matter - there was a massive exploit based off it).
Most of my friends purchased a ps3 because it's the cheapest profile 2(is that what it's called?) blueray player on the market, they have 1-2 movies each, and just use it as a showcase, sony will never make cash out of them....
All this sounds like is the same thing.
Everytime i see an article like this, i feel even more sorry for the 12 people that purchased the console to play games!
when you spend 40 hours a week in a high stress job, and you want to play a game, sometimes spending $20 to get what you want, instead of spending 1/2 of your weekend "earning" it, can seem very tempting....
just give the courses funky and updated names like
"Whiplash and programming, what they have in common"
"the 7 do's and don't of baning your head against a wall learning OOP for beginners"
that should do the trick!
maybe they can do what most retailers do, and that's remove the contents of the box, and keep it behind the counter...
OR just put up a display box, and keep the real ones behind the counter...
Been able to pick up a game, play it for 10 minutes, and put it down, is well a game to me. having to load up a game, spent 10 minutes working out where i was, then another 10 minutes working out where i was going, is more like work, and if i've only got 10-20 minutes of free time, well...
a game is for fun, and well this rates a hell of alot higher then most, because frankly, it's 90%+ action gameplay, most other games would be lucky to be 10% these days, at least they look good right?
maybe it's like fog, when it's far away it looks like a solid cloud.
When it's close, you can see it even thou your standing in the middle of it, it looks completely different, yet the same thing.
not at all, now they can rip your leg open, close it up, and have another go...
so sharks will be able to play with their food now:p
it's just like having a play toy that keeps giving..
I'm never going to the beach again...
The MMOs other than WoW that seem successful are the ones that try and offer a real different gameplay experience. Something like Eve Online
fixed, Warhammer must be one of the biggest wow rip off's i have played. I've played alot of mmo's (got a shelf full of them), and this almost seems like just a reskin... with some bad handling...
I have to agree with this totaly.
As a business user, if something goes wrong, i want it fixed asap, as it will affect my job in someway (this is a generic view on any device i use as a part of my workflow).
As an indivual, I have a itouch, i have had several issues withit, but it still does what i want it to, so i haven't bothered to take it in for repairs yet, but it needs it (the case is coming apart - bad glue?).
but you get the point. business users will raise issues alot faster then retail ones.
oh i just quit, and said good luck, 2 months later he wanted me back, now i'm doing two days a week for the same amount, and he thanks me for showing up everyday, instead of questing everything that was done.
it's not as stupid as it sounds, when employers smeel fear, they'll take you for everything they can
he might pass the deadline if he does that....
turn off all the servers, and ask the accountants how much cash they are losing per hour, leave them off for 24 hours, and ask how much that cost.
and then point out, that it would take the same amount of time to fix if the issues where outsourced as well;)
That's a fun one to explain. User friendly my A**.
try explaining to your mother how to download source code and recompile a kernel because she brought a new webcam because the old one didn't look nice...
i'll take a double click anyday..

if the xbox players where "accessing" the console, does this mean they all voided their's warrenties and got banned from live! ? =)

maybe that is because they don't fully understand what they are missing, or just can't compehend it ?
did you everthink of that.
and to see it from the other pov, once you are aware you have life, you want to keep it. (well most of us do).
