I think the replies somehow missed what you were going for so I'll do it for you:
Yo Dawg, I heard you like leaks, so I put a leak on your leaks so you can leak while you leak.

I would seriously ditch my Q and verizon if only this thing had 3G. If they're targeting smartphone users, how are they going to convince them to switch to a questionably inferior network with definitely slower network speeds?
Of all killer devices out there, this would be amazing with 3G.
Hopefully the 2008 Asia launch means an US 2008 CDMA/3G launch
Also the if its the visual voicemail thats really keeping it on the cingular network, I'd rather they ditch it. How often do you get so many voicemails that you don't know what to do with them. Usually I have 1 voicemail maybe two at the most in queue at a time.
This is a great device that I would love to get, but i'm sorry they killed the deal with the provider.
I understand your point, but this really doesn't help the original poster.
First, he just got a job and moving to another company right away is probably not the best available option.
Second, if he's interested in pursuing hobby like interests like game emulators, there probably aren't many companies out there doing advanced work in that field.
While ideally, it would be great for him to learn directly from the best in the field, realistically, this isn't an option. Therefore, the best solution for this recent college grad who is completely lost and wants to start digging today is probably to use the internet.
I'm not recommending that he does a copy and paste job, but even from poor examples I'm sure he'll be able to learn something. And also there is benefit from reading bad code as well as good code.
Most things that can be done with software have already been done with software. Fortunately the internet is full of source, examples, and discussions.
It sounds like you have an eagerness to learn, and I think if you start poking around with Google, you'll find that that you'll be able to learn most things you would like to know.
Then pick a project and either convince your company that it is worth developing or investigating or at the very least try and develop it in your free time.
I have no problem with the speeds that evdo offers me. I can do everything I need with Verizon's EVDO. The only issue is the horrible latency. Not sure how much the HSDPA is going to help with that.
The coolest part about this demo is the multi-touch display.
I don't really see anything that innovative about the UI's or the lack of UI's that is presented.
The only thing about touch screen displays is, at work I already get annoyed when a person comes over and presses their grubby fingers on my display. I would be quite upset if it was encouraged for people to come over to my display and drag all 10 of their grubby fingers all over my display.
Where are the 3D non-touch human interface devices?
When something like this happens, did Comedy Central just give them a list of videos to remove or did they just tell Youtube to remove all videos. Also how do they expect to deal with future infringements? As far as I can tell removing all comedy central clips will be an almost impossible task.

Statistically Most marriages will end in divorce

IT and Divorce?

· Score: 1
It's sad, but we've reached a point where many statistics indicate that more than half of marriages will end in divorce.
Even sadder is blaming your job or the entire industry for being the cause of your failed marriage. With that kind of attitude towards your marriage, it was doomed from the start.
If you really cared about your marriage and your son and if you really thought your divorce was happening because of your industry, why did you make the choice to chose computers over a family?
The Way I understand it is, you put in some money and play with that.
Will they now block being able to get your money back out. And with online casinos looking to close their US operations will they just take the money in these accounts with them?
there are many issues here where it seems unlikely that the 360 with a software patch will be able to produce the same kind of 1080p results as a ps3 which was designed from the start to support 1080p. I'm truely skeptical with something like this that was capable, but not enabled at first.
I suspect we will see a lot of complaints about scaling existing games and lower content media. And only a small handful if any games that supposedly use 1080p.
Basically, they're spamming all of your friends with all of your actions.
We can show how this works against facebook by taking action.
Whenever an action is made on facebook, this action is immediately broadcast to all users within the networks of people involved. Therefore, if everyone against the facebook mini-feeds just posts 1-5 messages on their own walls or as notes, this will flood mini-feeds making them essentially useless.
In the numbers suggested yesterday there are more than 500,000 users that are against mini-feeds. If these 500,000 users post 5 messages, then this means at least 2.5 million messages will be broadcast. This would also probably reach nearly all of the facebook users.
Started up a website serving up good old kiddy porn, started charging US users to download those images I should be safe then.
I think another person suggested that the US should have censured illegal sites.
How about if you're going to conduct business in a country, you follow and obey all local rules and regulations? If you can't comply, then about making it so that you block access yourself so you don't violate those laws and regulations.
Second, I can't believe this Dicks decided to go through the US even though the other guy went in a couple months earlier and got arrested. It's either arrogence or stupidity.
It's obviously not a clone issue. Even if this sim card was Cloned, it would still receive the "unknown nbr" calls. In addition, the bill would probably have other unknown outgoing calls and the user would have several random incoming calls.
Seeing how this person has acted by posting his wild speculations on the Web, I wouldn't be surprised if T-Mobile did hang up. Sounds like someone got a bill that was a little higher than expected, ACTUALLY Looked at the bill for the first time, saw "unknown nbr" and therefor assumed that there was a cloned sim card. Plus there's the probability of the "partner" who may be wise and has someone calling in with caller id restricted. And the overlapping minutes is just ridiculous. If you get a call in on call waiting, you'll have overlapping minutes.
This is something that T-Mobile will unfortunately have to deal with. I can't believe that slashdot posted this to the front page. I'm not impressed.
I wrote about my voip experience on Connexion a couple a weeks ago. The latency is horrible, the speed is marginal, and pretty much the service is only good for slow web-browsing and email.

i'm sorry you're wrong. If you compare verizon's maps here: http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/CoverageLocatorController?requesttype=NEWREQUEST&lid=//global//plans//coverage+maps you'll see the difference between normal digital service (1X) and their "broadband" 3g service (EVDO REVA / B / etc) It's just that the two maps are so similar that you may be getting confused. You can also get it explained/compared with AT&T, sprint, T-mo here: http://vzwmap.verizonwireless.com/dotcom/coveragelocator/images/maps/3Gcomparison.pdf
If you don't like Snubster or Enemybook, etc, don't use them. Its that simple.
We've known about this for years thanks to the UCB Skit.

They've done it.
They've finally made an operating system that is free of security holes, immune to viruses, and resistant to malware.
I didn't think it could be done, but apparently all it took Microsoft was about 6 years.
I have no problem with the speeds that evdo offers me. I can do everything I need with Verizon's EVDO. The only issue is the horrible latency. Not sure how much the HSDPA is going to help with that.
can anyone here tell me what problem this is trying to solve?

In fact if you search YouTube right now for something as simple as colbert, you get over 4500 clips.
br. If Youtube cannot successfully remove all copyrighted material, will Comedy Central eventually to sue them?
Step 1. Buy Lexus LS460 with autopark
Step 2. Put ls460 backwards at starting line, tell it to park at finish line.
Step 3. Profit.

If a single 30 inch screen can half the time it takes to do my job, imagine all the free time i'll have if I order dual 30 inch screens.
so if my company has 80,000 employees, but buys 40,000 30 inch screens then we can fire 60,000 people!
Hooray!
How about a thumbdrive? With capacities seemingly doubling every couple months, it should be real easy to swipe off a good amount of data.
